"Again, it is the suspicion of some of us that the figure given by the EC (over 200,000) as Ghanaians who voted abroad is on the high by our estimates.."

^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Many analysts err with this fact; there is a difference between REGISTERED VOTERS and ACTUAL VOTERS. The fact that we have over 200,000 of registered voters does not mean all of the them voted. It could be less than 10,000 ACTUAL VOTERS.

And remember, the court actually asked the EC to provide those who actually VOTED, but not how, when or where all came the REGISTERED VOTERS.

""The Court also by a unanimous decision granted the petitioners’ application to direct the EC to provide them with detail records of persons abroad who VOTED IN THE ELECTIONS."

But I must admit that in all, Akufo has put the EC in a corner. Even given the details of those who voted whether 10,000 or less is huge win for the NPP lawyers.

On "no surprises in court" rule, I think you have to read NPP lawyers to understand that, any FACTS about a case should be given but not all EVIDENCE could be forced to be given. But you are right about this "stupidity" on behalf of NPP lawyers. If they really want Nana to be president, why should they keep on delaying the court. Just give it out and let's deal with it.

On a whole, this is historic case and very good for law students in our country and continent.
