Pls am not a northner but my advice to you is to stay out of trouble. Pls I want you to revisit the Rwanda Genocide. Pls, Pls Ghana needs peace. These alterances can bring civil war. What is wrong with the Ashantis dont ever think you are wiser than any other persons. People have grown to accept and respect one another but you people are still leaving in stone age. We are all ghanaians and you guys are trying to bring divisions among ourselves. If we ghanaians cannot contain our fellow ghanaians do we expect the whites to accept us. Pls, Pls mind your words its very very serious. if we cannot treat our own people with respect and dignity, then how do you expect white who have a different skin color. Stop calling the whites racist because Ashantis themselves are more racist than anybody on this earth.

THE WORD IS LIVING not LEAVING
You bwhore needs to go to school and stop your own ethnocentric inferiority complex. Why bring Asantes into this? The name Zeim is a Dagarti name and if you don't like him using Asantehene as an example of what a Chief should be, don't attack Asantes, you are showing your own ethnocetricism. Do you even understand the word RACIST? How can a Black Asante be a racist against another Black? Don't use words haphazardly because you have seen the word

It is the Northern politicians who must shine. It is a shame that some of them for the sake of NPP/NDC supply guns to their own people and encourage them to kill one another. Instead of helping their areas, they rather build in the South. Some do not even visit their hometowns until it is time for elections.
When Southners get political positions, they want to do something in their area so they shall be remembered. A good example is Hackman Owusu Agyeman. When he became Minister for Works and Housing, he solved the water problem of Koforidua, his hometown. What about Northern appointees?

Ziem,
Get your facts straight.
The Nanumba-Konkomba conflict went to the Asantehene for deliberations and it is still there.
There are no wiser chiefs in Ghana than the Northern chiefs. They know when to consult other authorities when they see fit. That, I think is wisdom in itself. What you are witnessing today is the result of manipulations by the so-called educated personalities from both the North and the South. Let us look at you, Ziem, for instance. Your name clearly indicates you are a Dagarti from the North, yet all I read from you is dirt about the North on this forum. The Asantes and the Asantehene also have dirty linen, but they don't come out to wash them in public, such as you do here everyday. What you are doing is blatant stupidity. Asantes promote and market themselves for the world to see, rather than publicly humiliating themselves and their institutions, as you are clearly engaging in here. This is my advice to you. Next time put the pito away before you write anything, for you are disgracing your people.

What it the sense in your artilce at all? You made mentioned of wisdom as an example. One thing is that, your article would have got praised from me, but somewhere along the line, you completely faulted. Your article is totally imbalance, but the topic should have be that of entire black as a whole. Let me put it this way. Istead of talking about black race throughout the world you are talking about tiny people.
Now, let me prove you wrong. You are talking about a conner, not an angle to even talk about continent and eventualy the whole world. This topic is about blacks all over the world not northerners in Ghana. Ok, when we come back to Ghana, what is it that southners chiefs have done for notherners to learn? Are you talking about southners corrupt culture and custom that they teach their off spring to come and put entir nation to a state in which we are today? Please try to think wider than narrow.

That," Northern chiefs must learn to shine " with references. So to say because you are a freelance journalist, you simply open your gap and speak any how. In the United States which is the World, treat every human being equally. You might be an agegan , during Achiampong's regime, who left for Nigeria. Your freelance journalism is meaningless. " All the fingers are not the same". Northern Ghana is never a disgrace and will never be a disgrace. By the way have you ever drawn the MAP OF GHANA or learnt Ghana geography?. You are a disgrace to freelance journalist. You are not a certified on

You sound so myopic; for a sensitive topic like what you attempted to write on, one would have expected you to do some deep thinking before spewing this garbage. Your approach smacks of disrespect for the highest authorities in our traditional set up and you ought to be ashamed of yourself. If you want to give good counsel to northern chiefs, you can do so more decently than the approach you adopted. You talk of the north as if it were made up of only Konkonbas and nanumbas or mamprusis and kusasis. How many conflicts exist in your so-called north? Don't stereotype the regions just as most people in the media do based on conflicts in few areas. There is no region in Ghana that does not have either chieftaincy conflicts or land disputes and the 3 northern regions are no execptions. I agree that our chiefs can do better. The Ashantehene is strategically positioned to do most of the things that you are talking about. How many chiefs in the North wield the amount of power and priside over a huge population as the Ashantehene does? How many areas are endowed with the quantum of natural resources as the Ashantehene does? And come to talk of educational and health funds, who will donate to such funds? The poor people in the area or the likes of you who are suffering from identity crisis? Please, think more carefully and come again. I belief the Chiefs will like to hear some practical suggestions as to what they can do to move their people forward. You may not have had a bad intention in writing this article but I think you misfired!!!

WHEN IN HIGH PUBLIC OFFICE, THEY LOOSE TOUCH WITH THEIR PEOPLE, CARE NOT ABOUT THEIR ISSUES AND NORTHERNERS IN NEED HAVE TO GO TO AKAN, VOLTA OR OTHER FRIENDS TO BE HEARD.
JUST LOOK AT THE CABINET OF LATE PRESIDENT MILLS, HALF OR SO WERE PEPEFUO. WHAT DID THEY DELIVER? THEY WERE ONLY HAPPY TO BE SIMPAPANYIN, WHILE REAL POWER EVEN IN THEIR SECTORS LAY ELSEWHERE. Osman, you are right; this article is not well researched at all....when writing articles of this great import, the first thing you do is speak to the most important actors, that is the chiefs of the regions in discussion and of course, experts in the field of chieftaincy, and political and economic leaders...the writer did none of these.....chieftaincy is intricately tied with politics. The two are inseparable....a point the writer failed woefully to point out....the Asantehene obviously had the blessings of the NPP when they ruled Ghana for 8 years...the Asantehene wass relentlessly promoted by the Kufuour administrations, took tours of the western world where he cultivated rich white folks to donate to his cause...when was the last time a northern chief was promoted in such shameless fashion or even given the opportunity to travel overseas and establish lucrative contacts? The writer is a poor excuse for a journalist...he did a poor job of presenting a story that is worthwhile....

My friend Ziem has done a good write up to portrait the backwardness of his own people. There is a common saying that you don't wash your dirty leaning in public. If you are not part of a problem then you should be part of the solution. I believe Ziem could have started some where by contributing to the modernization of the chieftancy in his area instead of generalizing the backwardness of the chieftancy in the north from where he comes from, after all the Dakpema the chief of Tamale has instituted an Educational Fund which is benefiting a lot of brilliant but needy students in the second cycle institutions.
