If you care to know, the MPs are a full part of the government and also the judges. In effect they paid themselves or better still plundered the coffers.

No matter how greedy Ghanaian politicians are and no matter how insensitive the government is to the plight of public workers, there should be no military intervention in Ghana. Instead, the public should be educated to vote out such MPs and the government at the next elections. This is because, the soldiers would be no different, if not even worst.
The decision of government to pay all the ex-gratia at a go instead of on instalment over a period and to use part of the money to pay the arrears to public sector workers, is an indication that the government has misplaced priorities.
The responses and attitude of the MPs to the criticisms over the payment of their ex-gratia is also an indication that whether NDC or NPP, they are all the same when it come to their personal interest. However, when it comes to the national interest, they take different and divergent positions.

This BRINGS INTO MEMORY WHAT THE CAPT. said about the time bomb, on which the nation is sitting upon. what was someone responds? he said the President should wipe away the military. I tell you this would be the last mistake he would ever do in his life Even he can't.
who is he? any way I pesonally take that to be a foolish thought. Let me tell you this president Mahama has no single Right to wpie out the Military. The army was there even B4 the birth of his great great great gound father. If he has a problem, than he has to wake up and do the right thing. He stle himself to power and his intension is underminig him now, so let him dance to the rythem now. A child that dose not allow his parent (mother) to sleep shall also not sleep.
How can this Guy, been the cief executive of the higher office in Ghana accord himself with prestige? who thought him how to file Taxes? If this is some thing he wants to be oprestinal in Ghana, why dont he involve every body, or all the civil servants.
There is a reggie music whic goes like this " He the voice of the Rasterman chanting..., Babylone rise and fall"
Ghana is aiming towards it down fall once again. No matter what you say, its in the open air. Untill the truth is discovered by all, there is a great opprtunity opened for the resuffle of the entire system controlling our beloved nation.
Flt. Lt. JJ Rawlings has come to do his, now its the turn for some one to also lift up the bunner of Justice and freedom for all.
how can a nation, almost a hundread years independence, still found itself in bondage? sill in the bottomless pit?
Allow people to speak their mind for the truth shall always make us free.
How dose this nation share its economic wealth? How can coruption be on the table of this fake politicans every morning as Tea and batter?
Some thing really ought to be done!
Let those who have ears hear, and those who are deaf dance and walk arround like fools for one day for the thief, and the other day for the court.

I had a lot of faith in him after the elections and and have pitched my camp solidly in his corner in the presidential election dispute. I did that not because I like the NDC but I was put off by kufuor and his thieving brigade.I am still in his corner but I am left to question his ability to lead the country.
If he claims to be acting according to the recommendations of the Chinery Hesse committee set up by kufuor, has he forgotten the venom with which Ghanaians greeted that recommendation? He is only behaving callously by dolling out money and political posts all over the place because he is a coward, an opportunist and a man with no foresight and conviction.
What happened to the ordinary Ghanaian teacher, doctor, civil servants when it comes to sharing the riches of Ghana? After $50,000 for housing to mps, now comes $100,000 for after service reward. This is something that they the mps denied other civil servants in Ghana.
I will always hold the view and say that I do not blame the Ghanaian politicians, it is Ghanaians I blame for voting for the same insensitive, lazy, thieving NCD and NPP.
WAKE UP GHANAIANS AND GIVE OTHER PEOPLE THE CHANCE TO LEAD YOU.

what annoys me is that we have people who have serve the nation is various ways for several years and at the end of their service they get just a penny and then every month some thing little from the SSNIT.these greedy MPs should be under the same rules as every public servant as is done in countries like UK nad the USA.am appalled by their action.some of them are just degree holders and dont even get closer to other public servants in terms of education.though i have not heard nor read the what Kofi Juma said about the Doctors and Teachers comparing themselves to MPs,i think he must be out right because the MP is no different to the watchman who is taking care of a school in order not to be burgled. We Ghanaians must start educating ourselves about these MPs.we must face them and let them know they are not superior than any one but they are there to serve the ordinary Ghanaian.

Politicians are suppose to hold resources provided by the State in TRUST for the people of Ghana. So when you hear lawmakers who are the handlers of the national purse, making statement to the effect that there is a need for them to use Ex-gratia to offset the cost of their private campaigns then the picture becomes clear. They want to use public funds for private gain through a clever reverse chain. This is an affront to the constitution and blatantly unethical.
