Is it not obvious that with reference to pronouncements by the LMVCA and some leaders of the NPP(to be allowed to throw bombs and making the country ungovernable for the good Prez), one can confidently conclude that the issue of this consistent fire outbreaks and arson cannot be outruled from the camp of the elephantic political family? As for you yaw poku, why insult people for expressing their views? Be warned 'cos the next time you do that, i will..........

It is so childish for someone who claims to be intellectually sound to rely on baseless suspicion to conclude that arsonists have a hand in the fires burning markets and other places in the country. My friend do not allow petty partisan politics wash away the wee of integrity left in you. Your godfather, mentor and tribe's man, Kpegah whom you idolise and lick his boots for false information has revived his empty pursuit to dent the solid image of Akufo Addo. Have you given up on that? I want to read more of your skewed articles on that. Let your American investigators conclude their investigations before you, your president and his minions jump the gun to misinform Ghanaians. If you think you are deceiving and fooling the crab, God is watching your...

What a load of thrash! I just read the first three paragraphs of this write-up and stopped. Anyone who has ever gone to any of our markets knows how very hazardous they are. Even if fire services functioned in the country, not even a "taxi size" fire truck can enter any of our markets.
Then there are the dangerous electrical connections, which look like primary school children doing physics practicals. The Chinese electrical goods being sold in our supermarkets and "top shops" are so flimsy they are serious fire hazards.
Instead of looking at the sources of these fires, idiotic poiticians and their dubious academic supporters are blaming arsonists. Dr Bokor, why don't you and your friends form vigilante groups to keep watch in the markets of Ghana.
Cry the beloved country!

The burning down of Kantamanto Market, Makola Markets and other places like that is politically advantageous to the NDC. I sure remember that during the registration before the elections, Nii Lantey Vanderpuije attempted to stop traders at the Kantamanto market from partaking in the registration exercise. So today, if the market is not there, the people would also move out of the place, and there would not be any political opposition in that area.

You wrote a good piece Sir, but your attempt to prematurely blame the NPP without evidence was uncalled for. You rightly admonished the BNI for failing to catch the perpetrators up to now. This way you will avoid the stick.
