ADWEN U R SPOT ON; HW MANY TIMES

It is important that some things are clarified. Firstly, I want to commend the Doctor for writing to remind the President about his promise concerning his vision for the Mental health setup.
FRedsaid, I think you are looking at two different things here -- experience and expertise. The problem we have as Ghanaians has never been one of expertise or experience. I do not think that if you have the money as an individual to build a house (I use one of your examples), you would need any of the two. You would only have to employ the services of those with these qualities we are talking about here. This is the same for everything. The problem that Ghana our beloved nation has faced all these years starting from when we had our independence from the colonial masters has never been about any of the two I have mentioned. We have people with these two qualities in abundance, but the problem has always been greed, dishonesty, selfishness, unpatriotism, self-centredness and what have you. This has been the biggest problem and it will continue to be if we as people do not decide to call it quits and start to LOVE our dear nation and the citizens to want to do something for the benefit of everyone. Therefore, it does not necessarily matter who is put in what position; if you have the LOVE of the nation and its citizen at heart, the right things will be done to help all. This is why even a medical officer can successfully fuction in the position of a chief of staff; it is management and vision but above all, LOVE.
I am therefore humbly using this medium to call upon all Ghanaians and anyone reading this who has been fortunate enough to get any mantle of leadership NOT to think of themselves first BUT the country and its citizens. THINK ABOUT WHAT YOU CAN DO TO BETTER THE LIVES OF YOUR OWN FELLOW COUNTRYMEN AND THE NATION and NOT WHAT YOU CAN LOOT TO ENRICH YOURSELF TO THE DETRIMENT OF ALL AS SOME WICKED ONES AMONGST US HAVE ALREADY DONE -- look at the misery, deprevity, degradation and the state OBUASI where GOLD has been mined for over a good century is in. Peoplpe do not have conscience; they forget that today they live but tomorrow they are gone.
God bless any well-meaning Ghanaian and our dearly-loved motherland Ghana.
