Prosper Dzitse,
You make some good points by providing some views about the general context of corruption.
It takes leadership to rally citizens to fight corruption and make improvements at all levels. We agree it is leaders and politicians who must supervise civil servants who are off duty and getting paid.
But that supervision applies to the "media" if the media is a public enterprise.
But yes, "whistleblowers and civil society organizations" can help. But even here, it takes public policy and politicians to adequately reward and protect even "whistleblowers".
Imagine there has been ZERO action by the government with respect to Martin Amidu and his success.
And what happened to visibility with respect to "Asset Declaration" (AD)?
Haba!
Lastly, please think "Freedom of Information Bill." That "Right" thing is a joke. It does not inspire as strongly. It does not work - Mugabe has a Right to Information bill. "Freedom" is to be preferred to a "Right" any government can take any day.
