Let me tell you, my friend. An election dispute in the USA, if any, will never drag on for 8 months without a verdict. Ghana is trying desperately to copy the systems in the USA and GT Britain and yet sometimes you behave as if you are wiser than them or you have better systems than them. If you don't know, let me tell you. Ghana has car parts alright; but it doesn't have a car. Do you understand what I've just told you?
Go sit your somewhere and find a way to put those parts that you have together properly so that you can have a working system called a car that you can drive. OK????
And if you need assistance, you can call some one who knows better.
Have a great day!

The Supreme court will declare its verdict as the judges deem fit.
You should look carefully at the weight of evidence before making your pronouncements on the merits of the petition.
Is the evidence adduced by the petitioners reliable? How many pink sheets were provided to the court? Why the disparity between the various batches provided to the registry, the presiding judge and the respondents? Why the disparity between the 11852 sheets persistently claimed by Dr Bawumia and the over 13000 sheets counted by KPMG?
If the petitioners had solid evidence why did Addison persistently try to mislead the court by fabricating 'evidence' which he was forced to withdraw time and again?
Why did the petitioners only draw attention to so-called irregularities in constituencies where President Mahama won, conveniently forgetting that the same 'irregukarities' occurred in constituencies won by Nana Akuffo-Addo?
How can the judges overturn the election results when the petitioners' evidence is so unreliable and selective?
These same 'irregularities' occurred in previous elections, yet the election results were accepted. so why should we not accept the results of this election? Moreso given the fact that all the international and local observer teams praised the conduct of the elections and declared it free and fair and endorsed the results as a true reflection of the will of the people.
Elections are won at the ballot box, not at the Supreme Court!

As for misleading the court as you put it can you tell us why Tsikata tried to mislead the court by presenting a fake letter purported to have been written by akuffo addo with a received date stamp as 3rd and the letter was written on the 5th?
If Addision only presented pink sheets for only Mahama's areas in terms of winning why did Quarshie Idun not present pink sheets to rebutt the allegation; in fact the EC did not present a single pink sheet and when they did at the end, it was a disaster as under cross exams by Addison, even the very EC pink sheets were found wanting.
Tsikata and the ndc when crosss examining afari gyan could have examined their own pink sheets to prove your point about bias but they refused to do so. What does that tell you??
Your point about the same irregularities happened in previous elections; how do you know? where is your evidence or is it hearsay and propaganda?
International observers aree not the electoral laws of Ghana. Observers are limited to a small cross section of the election process; did they visit every polling station to check on pink sheets, collation sheets, etc.? They just watched from a distance the process of voting; they did not see the little tricks about duplication of polling station codes, duplication and triplication of pink sheets which were used technically to cheat and dr bawumiah has found them out.

Nana, you should understand that the onus of proof lies on the petitioners. They have to prove their case to the court.
If the evidence adduced by the petitioners is flawed, the judges cannot rule in their favour.
In this case, the fact is that the petitioners claimed they presented 11582 pink sheets to the court. However the KPMG count revealed that there were over 13000. Moreover, there were discrepancies between the sheets presented to the registry and those given to the President of the panel, as well as those given to the respondents. So which set of pink sheets are the judges to use in determining the case?
The primary evidence adduced by the petitioners is unreliable. The case could be thrown out purely on that basis.
You ask why the respondents did not present pink sheets. There are at least two reasons. First they were under no obligation so to do. It was up to the petitioners to provide evidence to support their case. The aim of the respondents was to undermine the evidence of the petitioners. Counsel for respondents chose to use the petitioners own evidence to undermine their case. They exposed the flaws in the use of the pink sheets and the fact that padding and other forms of deception had been used in the evidence.
There is a crucial point which was raised by Tsatsu. The fact that no objections were raised by party agents about the results at polling stations when they had the power so to do. They signed the pink sheets, and did not even indicate on the sheets that they were protesting the results. The judges will not have failed to note this.
International observers see enough of the elections to be able to pass a verdict on the reliability of the election process and results. Remember that there were different groups of observers spread over different constituencies to give as wide a coverage as possible. They observed all processes meticulously, and even intervened where they did not understand anything. CHRAJ and CODEO, local bodies, also endorsed the results.
The use of biometric registration led to almost 1 million voters removed from the Ashanti region electoral register. That tells you that previous elections had the same issues that are being raised now.
All told, the petitioners case is deeply flawed for lack of evidence. The case is bound to fail.

I wonder why some NPP supporters still claim Nana won the elections but the EC conspired with JM to steal the elections in his favour. The lead counsel for the NPP Philip Addison categorically suggested to Dr. Afari Djan in open court that at Ledzokuku constituency, JM has 53,000+ votes but the EC declared over 67,000 for him. And that, Nana Addo had 40,000+ votes but the EC declared 30,000+ votes for him. This implied the EC added over 20,000 votes to JM and deducted over 10,000 votes from Nana Addo's votes. After the judges overruled the respondents objections to the line of questioning by Philip Addison, what we all saw in court was shocking, to say the least. Philip Addison declared in open court that his figures were WRONG.Ghanaians went to the polls and voted for the candidate they wanted to be their president. A presiding officer failing to sign a pink sheet does not mean the people did not vote the way they voted. The Bible has described these NPP supporters in Matthew 13:13 as follows:
"Seeing, they see not;and hearing, they hear not; neither do they understand".

many thanks and there is nothing to add except, I agree with all the evidence you have produced and the principles you have advocated.
It is exactly because of lack of controls in every fabric of Ghanaian society, that has brought us to this destiny.
If all existing controls are adhered to, then we will succeed as a nation.
These controls are management controls, supervisory controls, arithmetic and authorisation controls, physical controls, segregation of duties and personnel controls.
Controls incorporated within the processes can be in the following forms: preventative-designed to prevent an error or event occurring, detective-designed to detect and report the instance as appropriate, if the error or event does occur and corrective-designed to correct the error, if the event or error does occur.

I know you'd get a lot of bashing from some quarters, but if we all believe in the fact that the truth is immutable and we refuse to say it as is, then fate would deal with us. I doff my hat to you, sir. I'd be contacting you through email for the way forward in your quest to minimize corruption in our motherland. Power, they say corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely. My concern is to what extent? It's such a disgrace when we go borrowing a few millions dollars from abroad while we embezzle billions of dollars.
It's about time corruption is brought to an all time low for the benefit of the citizenry.
Once again, thanks for the insight. I'd be in touch.
God bless Ghana, God bless you all.

Your argument is too simplistic. So far the window of opportunity provided to the plaintiffs to prove their case was badly handled.
You could see desperation written all over the place. It was like a child play. Not even student lawyers in a moot court will prosecute such a bad case.
It was waste of everyone's time. No hard and incontrovertible evidence to overturn the status quo has been presented.
Hold your peace and stop inflaming the situation any further with your infantile argument.

That is democracy that we all need to practise.I do not begrudge the writer expect to say he has shown a complete bias as has always been the case. One thing for which Ghanaians are grateful is that, they have been given the opprtunity to watch the proceedings live. Many Ghanaians wouldn´t have known what took place. And if there is anyone who is disapointed in that, it is the NPP.When they were calling for an open hearing of the case, they thought things were going to be on their side. Now they have seen it.Even a lay man can tell what exactly the NPP, led by Akufo Addo is about. If the late Mills had been alive and won this elections, there wouldn´t be this diabolical acts by Akufo Addo to challenge him.But being a dirty tribal bigot that they(Ashanti/Akyems) are,it is a crime for a Northerner to be president of Ghana. As if Ghana is for their useless grandfathers who kicked againt Ghana´s freedom from Britain colonial rule. Isn´t it a shame that a few dirty tribal bigots and good for nothing fake lawyers could be taking us for granted for all these years, preventing investments, inciting a foreign country, the Ivory Coast to go to war against the same country that they want to rule? The verdict will surely come and Akufo Addo, the most dangerous character that Ghana has ever had so far, would go dowm in history as such.I did not vote for Akufo Addo and will not allow my vote to be thrown away in his favour. You guys can continue dreaming.Ghana is for all Ghanaians.Ghana is not for Akufo Addo and his drug dealing family memmbers. We shall all sort it out squarely. We are all men! We are patiently waiting!
