Good Morning, Kofi. Ehm, I will disagree that if peace prevail after the verdict, it would be because of Ken's imprisonment. I have said it many times, peace will certainly prevail when the petition is thrown out. But I have my fears if Akufo won this petition. Many people are in denial of this fact, but I am certain, that is what could or would happen after August 29th.
Why do I say this? Many who have accused Akufo of being a Nation wrecker don't know that, in spite of insistence to become the President of the Country at all cost, the man wants his legacy intact. It is based on this, that I have predicted that Akufo will do whatever it takes to preserve and protect the name of "Akufo Addo:" He has no choice, but to concede humbly.
As it has been said, a good name is better than riches, and i believe Akufo knows this adage very well. Therefore, he knows that he has ONLY one more chance to get it right after the verdict. If the verdict is against him, I believe this man will call Mahama and come out quickly and concede to the public and ask his followers to remain calm. This is how he will get his respect back.
The NPP followers will have no choice but to agree. The reason is this, it is like losing your money. You are always in denial of losing your money and hope and pray that you will get it back. There are times you even dream of seeing someone giving your money back. After a while, you begin to accept that the money is lost. If and when someone comes to you after 6 months and say, hey Charlie, here is your money, you scream and thank God for that. But if it does not happen you let it go. So after August 29th, WHEN -see that I used WHEN and not IF- the SC throws out the case, they will accept the results when Akufo tells them to remain calm.
Now, let's talk about NDC folks. The question is, will they accept the verdict if - using IF, because I doubt it- the supreme court upheld the petitioners' case? As I have come to know or see Mahama, he will not find it difficult to call Akufo and concede. But will his people, Kwabena Adjei, Mosquito, and the numerous Deputies who believe that it is now their time agree to the verdict? This is where the challenge is. Physiologically, I believe it would be more challenging for the NDC folks to accept the results than the NPP folks.
My expectations from the SC judges.
1- Before delivering the verdict, they will announce severe punishments waiting for anyone who will cause mayhem after the verdict.
2- Warn various websites, FM stations, and News prints about the consequence of allowing despicable things to be said or written about opponents through their media.
3- Warn the leaders- Mahama and Addo to take responsibility for the action of their followers.
4- Then warn people like Anita SOSo or whatever her name is, who has said, no one can stop her from celebrating, to refrain from provoking others by unnecessary celebration or partying on the streets.
5-They will give instruction on how the EC would fix their problems before the next election -2016. This is very important because we all heard the imperfections from the Commissioners.
6- Then the judgement- for the sake of peace, not facts or justice, but how we could live together as one Nation, one people with one destiny, they will say that, even though there were errors made during the election, they didn't and couldn't affect the outcome of the results, So Mahama is still the President.
So Kofi, peace will rain from the top of Mt Afadjato to the lowest plain on our land, not because of the incarceration of Ken Kuranchie, but how the SC Judges will deliver the verdict.

I have always said the SC will uphold the declaration of Dr Afari Gyan and dismiss the petition of Nana Addo based on justice but for the sake of peace.I am saying so because the evidence and the witness given by the petitioners are not solid enough. All the claims made by Nana Addo can be easily dismissed by the law.You don't expect the judges to be selective because Nana Addo did not file petition for fraud,he knows he was beaten but he is trying to use the court to remove Prez Mahama. There is nowhere in the petition that Nana Addo exposed Mahama for stealing his votes or getting involved in fraud. There is nowhere in the petition where Nana Addo proved that Dr Afari Gyan rigged the elections for Mahama or prevented Nana Addo to have a level playing field. The Supreme Court finds nothing wrong with Prez Mahama and Dr Afari Gyan did well to declare exactly who won the presidential election out of the 8 contestants in 2012.In reality, the petition is between Nana Addo and the EC because Bawumia one of the petitioners and the star witness has confessed that Mahama won the élections fairly. If Nana Addo will accept defeat this time then it's good news but I doubt it.Thank you.

Nyansasem, you reminded me of what happened to me in early November 2010. I left home early to drive to Spitafield Market in East London to buy a box each of pona yam and plantain as well as other Ghanaian food items as I do from time to time. I had £510 on me to transfer £300 to Ghana. I kept £200 for the shopping in my purse with debit cards, my National Insurance Card, photo driving licence card and other personal IDs. Between my home and our local supper market to buy fuel for the trip. I lost the purse. Until I moved home last year, I always had the hope that the purse was either somewhere in the house or dropped in garage. When we moved in 2012 and every single item in the house and garage was emptied without finding my purse, I finally accepted my money and documents were lost forever.
You are right that trouble is likely to erupt if the petition is upheld more than if it is rejected. I am also hopeful that peace will prevail in Ghana whatever the decision.

The petition has no merit, it should be thrown out for Ghana to continue. if NDC do not perform, we will vote the NPP also even though NPP steal government properties more than NDC.

Kuranchie was rather the proverbial housefly which stupidly decided to visit the dead body in the coffin and as a result got buried with the dead.

Where have you been because he was tried and jailed for saying that NDC will not sit down for the SC to overturn the results of the Presidential elections and make Nana Akufo-Addo the president. Do you remember that? Did you read the article or you just wanted to have a go at the article or me?

THE ANSWER TO YOUR QUESTION IS "THAT PERSON HAS PAID THE PRICE FOR THEIR STUPIDITY AND IDIOCY BY MAKING SUCH RECKLESS AND THOUGHTLESS STATEMENTS" I CAN GO INTO A WHOLE DIFFERENT DIRECTION.WITH THE REASONS WHY EACH AND EVERY ONE OF US US HAS A CIVIC AND LAW-ABIDING DUTY NOT TO MAKE SUCH FOOLISH STATEMENTS. Kuranchi was a victim of his own stupidity. When he was summoned to appear before the SC he knew what the matter was but pretended he was there for jokes. That is the price he paid.as rightly said by Ayikoi Otoo,in the absence of a genuine defense (eg those word or writings did not come from me) the only remedy was to purge the contempt. And that means showing remorse and apologizing for the stupidity and leave your fate to the pleasure of the judges.
According to ayikoi Otoo's test,Kuranchi failed all the test he outlined. He did not show remorse but instead was challenging the authority of the SC judges. He there fore dug a grave and buried himself. That is stupidity and not a sacrifice for peace.
