Kofi of Africa, it was extremely difficult to classify your piece. Was it just a story, a diatribe, a satire or a tongue in the cheek science that disjointedly traversed from nonscience to science. As far as I see it, science education in Africa has been joke, devoid of Africanness - something that is essentially African and not Westernized, Arabized or orientalized. There was a time the ancients flocked to Alexandria, Egypt to learn Mathematics and Astronomy; Euclid, Ptolemy, Erastothenes, Archemedis and Aristotle learned science in Egypt. Then what happened . Around about 48 B.C. about 40,000 scrolls and books at the ancient library in Alexandria were burnt. Which has become a symbol of "knowledge & culture destroyed".
This is how we lost our ancient African knowledge and culture in science.
We have not made an effort since then to develop our own African scientific knowledge and culture. We have to - based on STEMIC.

I at the unset of my posts: 'The purpose of this article, although weird and entertaining, is to help combat social superstition in Ghana through critical examination and expose of some ignorant, backward mindsets which conspire to underdevelop our people intellectually.'
It will seem you have helped to elevate Ghana's/Africa's cultural discourse, by historicising and defining the history of science knowledge - linking it to Alexandra.
This has edged us closer to combating prevalent superstition and ignorance in Africa. Thank you.
Regards.

Some of us believe that Ghana's education system, from primary to the tertiary, should emphasize the teaching of STEMIC subjects & materials. I hope this is helpful.

Good article. However I'm certain the magician had a python ropun his neck and not a boa constrictor. Constrictors are not found in Ghana.
