Adofo Rockson, you really hate the Otumfuo for reasons best known. Much as I agree with you that the period of the ban on funeral activities seems a bit long, the fact cannot also be denied that you are quick in criticising the Otumfuo in the least opportunity. There is indeed truism in the saying that no matter how the chicken dances, the hawk would never be please. If somebody doesn't wish you well, nothing you do under the sun would ever please that person. That is exactly what you Adofo is doing. The earlier you put a stop to that the better it may be for you !!

If the constitution is the supreme law of the land and we cannot find what the Asantehene is trying to do enshrined in it, why should anybody feel that the writer hates the Asantehene when all he is doing is pointing out the difficulties the very subjects of the chief would face by his dictum? None is above the law,not even the President of the land who is elected by the majority of the populace in the land. We should learn to cede with some of the antiquated rights granted a few in the past in the name of Chieftain and commonly work in modern times towards the welfare of all and sundry.

I don't think hatred is the right word here Nicholas. Dislike would have been more appropriate. I don't understand why chiefs in Ghana are still so powerful. What useful purpose do they serve? The simple answer is none. Chieftaincy was an old system of government it is not a tradition worth preserving I don't think. Especially as it gives particular families power over the people. That cannot be right in a democracy.
The earlier we get rid of them the better it'd be for all.
The Ga Mantse's official residence was refurbished by the AMA. The Otumfuo's constant demands on the Ashantes is annoying and unconstitutional. Recently homeowners in Kumasi were asked by the Otumfuo to renew their leaseholds when homeowners were of the impression that they held the freehold to their properties. Who is he going account to for the money he has taken from the ever suffering homeowners.
Why is the government allowing this fraudulent practices to carry on. It is time all these illegal practices are legislated against by parliament. That's why we voted them into power.

For Christ's sake let us not forget we are in the 21st century.

Asantehene is wrong in making such order to infringe on our freedom. I bought an unrefundable ticket to attend funeral in April. Is he going to compensate me? This is ridiculous. He must be advised well.

I think this is absolute nonsense for a power trip chief to ban all funerals because of his anniversary. This is another example of our misplaced priorities that our leaders tend to espouse to show that they are in charge. All these amounts to stupidity and insanity. The bottom line is it doesn't bring any progress. God help us as a country. A bunch of useless fools who connive with absurdity.

YOU MAY NOT RESPECT YOUR CHIEF OR YOUR FATHER, IT FOR A NOT JUSTIFY YOU EXTENDING YOUR LACK OF RESPECT FOR YOUR ELDERS TO OUR KING, OTUMFOUR NANA OSEI TUTU II, ASANTEHENE, HIS ROYAL HIGHNESS.
PIG HEADED, STUPID ROCKSON ADOFO, NOTHING PREVENTS YOU BURYING YOUR DEAD; FINAL FUNERAL RITES COULD BE PERFORMED AFTER THE DATE STIPULATED BY OUR RESPECTED KING.
IN YEARS PAST, THE DEAD WAS BURIED EARLY AND FUNERALS WERE PERFORMED MONTHS LATER.
IF YOU INTEND TO KEEP YOUR DEAD IN THE FRIDGE FOR MONTHS OR YEARS, IT'S YOUR OWN CHOICE, YOU HAVE NO RIGHT WHATSOEVER TO UNDERMINE THE KING'S ORDERS IN HIS AREA OF JURISDICTION !!!
HAIL, THE KING !
HAIL OTUMFOUR OSEI TUTU II, BELOVED !
HAIL, THE WISE KING SOLOMON !
WE RESPECT AND HONOUR YOU !
MAY THE LORD GRANT YOU MORE WISDOM TO RULE YOUR PEOPLE !
MAY THE LORD GRANT YOU LONG LIFE TO SUSTAIN AND STRENGTHEN THE UNITY OF ASHANTI KINGDOM AND OTHER AREAS OF JURISDICTION !!!
