Antiochus, you don't live in Kumawu so you call these truths baseless facts? I have been an "nkonnwasoa fo)" before at the palace and Rockson tells the hidden truth that most of you don't know. You try to protect a person but Rockson protects people. How many times have you stood behind Rockson to protect the people of Kumawu? Yet you talk about this being baseless facts. There is no need for Rockson to face Asantehene. Why wasn't Akwasi Agyemang made the Asantehene? Because people claimed he was disgraced by Rawlings and therefore not fit for the Golden Stool. Once a thief, always a thief. Was Kwaku Dua not arrested and imprisoned? Who fought against his enstoolment? Among the Asante Chiefs, only the late Barima Asumadu Sakyi II stood up for the right but his disagreements were considered as allegations and baseless for the sake of one man but not the status of the Asanteman. Do you know what is going on at Kumawu right now?
The Queenmother gave bribes to Kumawu Krontihene, another sub-chief and Baffour Atta Tweneboah, Bodomasihene. When the case came to Asantehene, he acted like a coward and instead of destooling the chiefs including the Kumawuhemaa, he told them to go and appoint their own King. The Late OTUMFO) OPOKU WARE II would have acted as a wise King who seeks to the welfare of His Kingdom.

Mr. Adofo Rockson, aka John Fosu, please come clean on this one: your so called Ananangya/Odumasefo) are from Essumja and therefore not original Kumawu royals. True/False
These immigrants from Essumja were saved by Nana Siaw of Apemso. True/False
On the demise of Maama Senifontom, these immigrants from Essumja borrowed precious ornaments and cultural artifacts from the then Apemsohene Nana Aboagye to decorate the corpse for public display and as a token of their respect and love for their mother who could have been a queen of Essumja, hence they wanted a queenly funeral for her.
These immigrants from Essumja failed to return the borrowed ornaments upon demand from Apemsohene; they claimed they burried their mother with all the borrowed ornaments. Apemsohene Nana Aboagye ordered his men to go and exhume the body to retrieve the ornaments. The immigrants laid ambushed the Apemso royals and killed and maimed them. Nana Aboagye died due to wounds he sustained from these immigrants from Essumja. Quickly, the immigrants crowned themselves as rulers of Apemso. These are the people Rockson Adofo/John Fosu refer to as true original royals of Kumawu.
The curse on these folks who caused these barbaric act against The Apemso royals still stand, hence PAPA NANTWIE. SE ONYAME ANSI WO HENE NA WOKOFA AHENKYE SOA A, ESO WO KWA.
That is the fate of these folks from Essumja whose track record shows that they are sore losers.
Litigations from the then YATEASEM group, up to this prersent Joe Fry being financed by A BANKER AND A HOTELIER, is the cuase of underdevelopment and retardation of Kumawuman. BUT, mark my word, if Rockson Adofo/John Fosu will continue to throw dust into peoples eyes with his nonsense because their candidate was not selected, the courts CANNOT ENSTOOL KUMAWUHENE. Come to Kumawu and listen to people's opinion; WE ARE SICK AND TIRED WITH YOUR STUPID LITIGATIONS.
As far as we the people are concerned, the era of litigation is over, we are patiently waiting for the cororation of our king in the person of Dr. Yaw Sarfo. Your Joe Fry was cut to size at Manhyia and we all witnessed that and it is on record. He is "nobody". He is smart anyway, for out of litigations he has milkrd the financiers to build a house for himself and illigal lumbering. He should prepare to answer and account for his activities soon. We the people has denounced him and his cronies.

So Mr Omanbapa, are you telling us that the Ankaase family are original royals from Apemso? The descendants of the Great Tweneboah Koduah (Ananagya/Odumasi)are the true royals of Kumawu, even though the Apemso people are the original occupiers of that location when Seni fontom and Adofoahye settled there. Kumawu as we know it was not formed by the Apemso people but the descendants of Senifontom.
The Ankaasi family is an adopted addition to the Kumawu royal family during the time of queen mother Taa Acheampong who was barren and could not bear children. She brought in a certain woman and her brother from Ejisu to live and serve her in her palace. However, through some turn of events later on down the years, this "foreigners" became adopted into the Kumawu Royal family. They are the present day Ankaasi family. They have held on to the kumawu chieftaincy for a great number of years. They are eligible to the throne because the stools of some of their old chiefs have already been inducted when they died. However they are not royals by blood and certainly not descendants of the great Tweneboah Kodua.
Kumawu will never know peace until the whole truth about their royals come out and a system is put in place to break the current monopoly where one "adopted" family feels that they are the only only one entitled to the throne all the time.

This Kumawu Queenmother is being selfish eventhough they are "Donkorfo)" who were given the chance to be royals. Even the late Barima Asumadu Sakyi II was appointed as Kumawuhene by the Queenmother from the Ananangya Royals of Kumawu and when she died, Barima Asumadu Sakyi appointed his sister to take over. Instead of her sharing what doesn't belong to her with the true royals, she is trying to keep it in her 'Adopted' royal family. If she doesn't know, she should go and ask the spirit of the late Asumadu Sakyi II of what can befall the people of Kumawu.

This is a case of two guinea fowls fighting in someone's farm. The Apemso's will forever remain the UNDISPUTED ROYALS of Kumawu. For whatever reason known to them, they have kept silent over all these twist of events. However, the curse on those immigrants from Esssumja (Ananangya/Odumase's) who plotted and killed Nananom Apemsofo) to crown themselves king/queen remain.
The Ankaase royals are the descendants of Ayo who have NO BLOOD on their hands and therefore used by the gods and the departed spirits of the land as restitute for the royalty. Take note that Adofoahyee and his mother Senifontom did not settle themselves on the land; NANA SIAW of APEMSO settled them after they were introduced to the chief of Apemso by the then Krontihene Nana Adomakopim as his kinsfolks.
The household gods and ancestral spirits of Apemso were and still outraged by the treasonable act of Adofoahyee and his followers from Essumja and vowed vengeance, hence their untimely deaths. Upon consultation with the oracles, and to expiate the abominable crime these immigrants from Essumja had committed, the spirits demanded that Adofoahyee should sacrifice annually one of his own people as sacrificeat his papaase residence. When he obeyed the oracles' injunction and performed the human sacrifice before the un-natural deaths ceased in their family.
The human sacrifice continued annually until The British assumed power and abolished human sacrifice. Upon consultation with the oracles, bulls were substituted for the sacrifice annually which is called papa festival.
I remember reading in the Holy Bible that the people of Israel were once slaves in Egypt, but look at them now, they are the most powerful and inflential in the world. YES, man proposes BUT ALMIGHTY GOD disposes. The spirits and oracles have accepted the leadership of The Ankaase royals; no man can reverse that. It can only happen when a royal emerge from Apemso but they have decided to stay out of this issue for what reason Icannot tell. "SE ONYAME ANNSI WO HENE NA WOFA AHENKYE SOA A, ESO WO KWA." That is so true with these folks who left Essumja because Adofoahyee, their candidate to the throne lost the contest to Nana Gyebi Kankanko. Look at all the places they moved to before finally being settled by NANA SIAW of Apemso:
Essumja - Sebedia; then to Adanse Ahensan; then to Penimase. From Penimase to Abodom and then to Tikrom; from Tikrom to Abira and finally to Apemso.
They turn around and stabbed The Apemso royals in the back to crown themselves rulers of the land. "YENNTENA OBI SERE SO NA YENSUM NO" On this note these folks fromEssumja has NO WRIGHT WHATSOVER to call the Ankaase's as illegitimate royals. "NFRAMA DE HUUHUU FA ADIE A ONNYA" tHEY HAVE LOST IT FOREVER.

This is the reason why I hate one group calling the other illegitimate. The owner of the farm are Nananom Apemsofo); everyone else is just enjoying their loot from the farm (nkokohwedie mmienu) and therefore should keep quiet. WORE PE ATIE A, YEKA KYERE WO. A kettle cannot tell the pot that it is dark. The Apemso's have kept quiet and embraced us all, whether you arrived first or last, we all came from somewhere. What these folks are doing has prompted the truth to be told; but as they say, TRUTH SOMETIMES HURTS. Barima Tweneboa Koduah's roots are from Essumja BUT that doesn't take away his bravery and contribution towards Asanteman.

As far as I know, Barima Tweneboah Kodua was the chief of Kumawu, not Apemso. Apemso was the original settlers but according to history, they were defeated by the settlers and their chief Siaw was killed. Just like what happened to different societies when they were conquered by stronger ones in those days, the victors dismantled the old system and imposed their will and values on the conquered. The old order changed, yielding place to the new dynasty. The conquered had no royal claim to the throne even though they were the original settlers. This is exactly what happened to Apemso. There is no historical precedent where the vanquished can lay claim to a throne when living together with the victors.

Ebby, what you have said is so true:The old order changed, yielding place to the new dynasty; regardless of the circumstances that led to the change. Can the same thing be said about The Ankaase Royalty? The Apemso's welcomed The Ananangya/Odumase's into their midst only to turn around and stabbed them in the back through a barbaric Coup D'tat which was so horrible to anger the departed souls and spirits of the land.
The Ananangya/Odumase's welcomed Ayo into their midst and her descendants are a formidable dynasty in Kumawu. Is this a typical case of the old order changing and giving way to the new? The dynasty of The Ankaase's have been established and I'm afraid with the current turn of events, it will never go back to the Ananangya. The name calling and branding that is going on prompted me to add a voice of reason to that so called "original royals" and "slave" saga. Biblical Joseph was sold into slavery, yet he was appointed to the highest position next to Pharoah. Maybe the old order has changed, and I believe so.
One correction: Nana Siaw of Apemso was the one who welcomed the immigrants from Essumja (Ananangya/Odumase's) and settled them at the present Papaase, the site where Adofoahyee built his house. Nana Siaw died on the throne of old age and was succeeded by his brother Nana Aboagye. It was during NanaAboagye's reign that Adofoahyee and his group staged the Coup D'tat that overthrown the Apemso administration. Nana Aboagye died at Aboofrem from the wounds he sustained from Adofoahyee and his group. The old order changed indeed. The Adomakopim's who were then Krontihene of Apemso were also stripped of that title because he raised opposition and criticized the folks he personally pleaded their case before Apemsohene Nana Siaw.
Man proposes but God disposes; there is always a first in everything. ABAA A YEDE BOO TAKYI NO,..... ANKAASE DYNASTY IS ESTABLISHED; who can challenge the will of God? KUMAWUMAN NKWASO!!!

Tweneboah Kodua in favour of
Ayo. I believe that history means something, especially for someone who unselfishly laid down his life to safe the Asanteman kingdom. The least that Asantehene can do in his honour is to preserve Tweneboah Kodua's dynasty, not to destroy it. I don't know if the whole Asanteman people is aware of the systematic effort by Asantehene to rewrite history and ditch their icon who epitomizes their bravery and sacrifices, into historical dustbin. The choice was clear. Obarima Tweneboah Kodua OR Ayo. Unfortunately Asantehene chose Ayo. This is the highest display of ingratitude and disrespect that any human being can show to an icon of Nana Kodua's status.

We chose to settle our family issue ouside; meaning we have no wise m,en/women amongst us within our family and the traditional area at large. It was wrong then and I hope we can resolve issues like these amicably. Name calling and branding rushingtocourtover family and traditional issues brings unhealthy investigations which has resulted in this saga.
Ebby,do you know that no rebelloion or civil agitation against any Kumawuhene without the support of Nananon Yaadwasefo), that is Apemsofo) never succeed? This is a fact. The legendary Barima Tweneboa Kodua has inscribed his name in the hearts of Asanteman. He attained this through UNITY and LOVE for Kumawuman in particular and Asanteman as a whole. Those were thedays when Kumawuman was fused together as ONE PEOPLE who walked the streets of Ghana chest out. We prided ourselves in the achievments of our past heroes. Look at what LITIGATIONS has done to us. Look around Kumawu and what do you see?
That is the more reason why I fully support the nomination of Dr Yaw Sarfo. This is a practising medical doctor who understands human suffering. Do we need a visionary who has love and the heart for developing our community or a royal who is myopic in his thinking, ready to squander the little resources we have? We should all pray for him to succeed. Instead of uniting and pull our resources behind him, we are going back to the court. Who said the courts can overturn Nanahemaa's choice? I hope we all learned a lesson from YEATEASEM ERA. At the end of it all, with all the time and resources wasted, Barima Asumadu II became more powerful and untouchable. Is that what we need? ABSOLUTELY NOT. Could he have handled the 1.5 situation better? 1000% YES! Was it prudent to waste over a billion on that litigation alone, countless hours of time, not mentioning human energy and sharp division amongst our people. Were there no wise men and women among us who could have settled this amicably?
Barima Tweneboa Kodua has left his mark in the annals of Asanteman. We can bask in that glory BUT what about us? Kumawufo) mansotwefo)? We have tarnished the image our ancesters left us. I'm so saddened by events happening but all is not lost; there is light at the end of the tunnel. We shall overcome. Kumawuman need ALL OF US aboard the ship of humility and forebearance. LET US FORGIVE ONE ANOTHER AND UNITE FOR THE LOVE OF KUMAWUMAN. WE ARE ONE PEOPLE WITH A COMMON DESTINY: UNITY, BROTHERLY LOVE AND DEVELOPMENT.
The departed souls of our ancesters will be proud of us. WE SHALL OVERCOME. KUMAWUMAN NKWASO!!!

Omanbapa, it looks like I am going back and forth with you on this issue. However i think it is healthy and people need to sit down and talk for any progress to happen. I think I have a solution to the kumawu saga that, if cool heads come together and think about it, peace will instantly come to Kumawu. Now I want you to think very seriously about my humble suggestions and give me your honest opinion.
I suggest that all the known royal families sit down and commit themselves to a pact whereby under no circumstance should both the chief and the queen come from the same royal family at the same time. I think this is the main overriding issue that is causing such great animosity against the Ankaase family. Ever since the queen Nana Afia Sarpong from Ananagya family was destooled, both the queen and the chief have continously come from the same Ankaase family while every attempt have been made by the Ankaase family to delegitimize the other royals. There will be no peace under this circumstance until some sort of rotation is built into the system. Under this deal which should be legally binding on all the royal families, cooperation and peace will ensue. Each family will wait, per the rotation system, for the queen and chief positions. Anything short of this will only prolong the mess in kumawu for generations to come. Dr Yaw sarfo may be crowned the the next Kumawuhene but it is like kicking the can down the road. Anyone that rules under the current winner-takes-all environment may never know peace, whether the person is from Ankaase or Ananagya. I hope sanity prevails.

I don't know where you are residing but if you come to Kumawu right now, I tell you what, people are fed up with litigations which has caused them their basic livelihood: water, places of convenience, healthcare, roads, jobs, schools etc. To be honest with you, people don't care anymore about these royalty mess when they are hungry, jobless and can't even aford to buy water.
