Its amazing how politically illiterate some of these ndc rented press are so much so that they are unable to perceive anything right talk less of understanding the sophisticated facts. everyone knows an earlier congress is unfavorable to nana so if he wants an early congress he is hoping that another candidate can be chosen and the unity of the party remains intact enough to properly promote the new flag-bearer. Unlike the ndc that was saddled with an incompetent leader due to the murder of mills so did not have the opportunity to pick a real candidate who reflects the positive principles within the party so are weakened and must resort to peddling lies and tribalism. npp is lucky and through the proper democratic processes and procedures will have a worthy choice so will most likely win or loose be able impose positive values on the political climate . as long as there is hope the rule of law and justice will be reestablished through the ballot or revolution we are patient to remain critical , outspoken and encouraged to fight . we shall never surrender to this corruption and total mismanagement of the country . we shall sure persecute all these thieves when the time comes

My thoughts exactly, Akadu!
There is something called figure of speech and I believe that is whhat the gentleman meant. In fact in the face of the NDC thievery - Woyome, the Brear Aircraft purchase deal and the recent GYEEDA and other revelations, all of which began before Election 2012, I also find it really amazing that some of my own relations and acquaintances in Ghana still believe in NDC as a party.
See how Mahma and his brothet are conning the Ghanaian tax payer with the fraudulent American reigisterd jet. Ibrahim somehow managed to buy this aircraft so he can lease to his brother for official travels, a little more refined version of Asaga's purchse ot the "Flying Coffin" under NDC MKI.
With all these criminal dealings and the untold suffering that Ghanaians are going through today, can you blame anyone for using flowery language?

KKO, if you agree with Akadu that I am retailing opinions and no facts, then why confirm some of the contents of the article? "...I also find it really amazing that some of my own relations and acquaintances in Ghana still believe in NDC as a party". These are your words not mine. Is that not a fact and confirmation of what I wrote in the article that irrespective of what is happening there are generations of voters who will always vote for the same party?
I note that most commentators justify what Obiri Boahene said as figure of speech. No serious politician in a civilised society will use such language as figure of speech and get away with it, except of course, in Ghana where democracy is a farce.
My article was not meant to damn NPP but to point out some of the things that they may be doing wrong and for them to be, just a bit careful with their language or figure of speech as you guys want to describe it. NPP can go on with such figure of speech and see what happens in December 2016, if they fail to sell ideas and programmes. They can also continue to believe Ghanaians waiting to vote for them massively in 2016 and not persuade the electorate for their votes. A word to the wise is enough. Enjoy the rest of your Sunday.

Thanks, Kofi,
The real problem is with our electorate. Our politicians have been insulting Ghanaians since Adam. Apart from certain regions that use such insults against parties and even generations unborn, others do not bother, presumably as long as you make ridiculous promises at election time and dish out a few cedis to their chiefs and so-called opinion leaders.
Didn't Kobby Acheampong call a whole region kookooasefuo? Didn't Rawligs compare the people of Cape Coast to cats in their environemtal practices? Didn't he say in Kumasi that "if you stop eating wele, the shoe factory will begin to produce?"
As for "dwam bii" in Accra, it is ten for tuppence! What happened to those who made those pronouncements and their parties?
The reality is that like the working class voters of the UK who vote for whom "The Sun" says the should vote for, we have a largely illiterate electorate some of whom can't even tell when they are being insulted or taken for a ride by politicians, otherwise 75% of the people in our Parliament wouldn't be there!

This statement is simple and clear except you want to misinterpret the meaning. The ndc party has failed Ghanaians n has brought serious hardship on the people and as a result people are dying of hunger, poor roads, pressure, and so on. The evidence is there to see that it's because we have a heartless, selfish and wicked government who thinks of only his stomach n that of his family.
Now the question is why should you vote for this same person to come to power just because you are a dogmatic ndc member? The purpose of voting is to bring a better change of life and not because majority of Ghanaians belong to one party. There wouldn't hv been the need to vote because we know already which party has the majority in Ghana now. The fact still remains and it's clear that looking at the situations and conditions of the suffering mass in Ghana, if you vote Mahamas gov't into power again, I think you need a mental home n schizophrenia treatment period. This doesn't mean that our leaders are mentally sick except maybe you want to say that yourself. Our leaders are heartless n wicked, in fact murderers!
