This is the first time ever the primitive tribal and partisan aged Ewe Bokor is making a half-way sense in is his posting. And I quote:
--> "You see, folks, although some of us don’t support industrial actions as tools for exacting beneficial conditions of service, we have no other option but to sympathize with the workers and urge them to use strikes as the last resort. In this case, the workers have a genuine fear about their future lives and can’t be faulted. If what they are putting aside for life in retirement cannot be managed properly, what hope will they have for the future"?
Today! I have intentionally overseen most of his primitive Partisan nonsense entailed in his article.

This is the first time I have personally agreed with this man called Bokor. He has hit the nail right on the head...if 'what they are putting aside for life in retirement cannot be managed properly, what hope will they have for the future' . Why cant we for once allow our institutions to manage things without government interference. Should government succeed in pushing this pension alliance trust on unionized body as the trustee, what then will be the use of National Pension Regulatory Body and what say will the workers have ? I am struggling to comprehend why government is refusing to engage the unionized bodies in managing this money. Is it that government has diverted the money somewhere or what at all is the government motive for keeping this money away from the workers ?

Dr..use your intellect to make the judgement..do you think in Ghana ..it is okay for private sector manage massive amount of public pension..we have seen lot insurance companies ran way or investment companies coming to Ghana a rob ghanaians..again. Do you think it is a good idea to privatize the pension fund..as far as I know it is gorvernment who has a sole right to appoint a company to run or invest public pension and if go bad, you hold the gorvernment..if you privatize it in foreign company and eventually loose track.. What will be the fate of the entire nation pension fund?..do not mix politics with pension fund..don't the the mediocre politicians lead us into wrong direction..in regards to the Lecturers strike..where in the world lecturers go on strike because of books and research allowance and at the same time, getting paid by gorvernment..where is the union representing them taking dues monthly from the lecturers..why the union don't pay them during the pick it line? And who is handling the unions dues which suppose use on lecturers during strike period? Why are we wasting the tax payers money and at the same time..these taxa payers who then suffer..Ghana is full of dishonesty people, self centered and greediness..supporting wrong side because of position..who suffers, the future generation because most leaders and opinion leaders in Ghana think only themself and their family.we all know soMe if the strike are illigal and it is my hope gorvernment stand firm and play hardball on these medIocre politicians
