Ghana's image is in tatters because with the internet, no news can be hidden. It is absolutely unacceptable for the powers that be to try or make any attempt to cover this gargantuan corruption that had shaken the very foundation of the judiciary.
As an ordinary Ghanaian, I have no answer as to how to repair it because I man not an expert but if I can suggest anything, I will call for the summary execution of those involve. I will offer no apology whatsoever because these judges should have known better. Why did they allow themselves to be caught in this trap, is beyond contemporary thinking because they have been doing it for years knowing very well that they are invincible. They deserve the most harshest punishment there is.

Any Chief Justice in civilized country would have resigned. So you see that the black man's mind is just as his skin-BLACK!

Not that Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah was corrupt in any aspect, his government fell partly due to corruption of most of his officials. This corruption in Ghana started when Nkrumah made Ghanaians masters of their land and heads of institutions hitherto managed by the colonial authorities. People delegated to negotiate contracts for the nation started taking 10% of contract's worth as bribed from foreign firms actually, at the instigation of the latter. Numerous attempts to assassinate Kwame Nkrumah and even the coup that toppled his government all had the hand of bribes in it.
When Nkrumah was quizzed about bribery and corruption in Ghana and what he was determined to do to curb it in his new nation since, it was definetely bound to hinder his good plans for an industrilized Ghana, he gave the best answer as he always did.
Nkrumah said, corruption is not something peculiar to Ghana but could be found to exist in most nations with unpatriotic citizens. The only cure the great Nkrumah reccmmended is to create a public awareness to the evils of corruption and how it benefits no nation and her entire citizens. Kwame is right and there is no other remedy. Kwame Nkrumah Ideological Institute was one of the places that would have educated our politicians about the evils of corruption and create the necessary public awareness that would have deterred our officials from this evil acts and instilled unqualified patriotism in all Ghanaians and Africans. Only Nkrumaism can free Ghana from all evils.

MASSA KOFI, it will take more than a radical initiative and tough legislative/disciplinary actions to clean up Ghana's Judiciary. Corruption will always flourish because the Judiciary is not a communion of saints. Without good moral character, personal and professional integrity in the course of discharging their duties, Judges will take and demand bribe once motivated by greed. Also, we've a dysfunctional Judiciary which is inherently dishonest system because it is no stranger to political corruption, cronyism and nepotism.
However, I believe the Chief Justice should take this opportunity to sack the corrupt Judges to deter others.
