Too often these people forget the very essence of their being in office – i.e. "public servants" - and not public masters. Sovereign power resides with the people, which means every public servant, no matter your title, serves at the pleasure of the people and traditional leaders. If you forget that you would be dispatched with hurry. I often tell my staff, that whereas your resume might get you into a job, it is your attitude that will determine whether you keep the job or get fired.
Kojo Bonsu thought he had the pedigree and connections to get the job, but sooner or later his attitude has gotten him out. Perhaps, getting his name attached to the Kejetia Market went into his head, forgetting that before him there was Kejetia the most expressive expression of local and Ghanaian enterprise. They breathe freedom, fairness, competition, and entrepreneurship and wouldn't tolerate any nonsensical late starter called Kojo Bonsu.
Bravo Eric Agyeman for your article. Couldn't have said it better: Abodwese betoo anintonwin.

When Ghana held a Constitutional Referendum on April 27, 1960, it sought to vest power to the people through elected representatives and executive appointees. By dint of the outcome of the Constitutional Referendum, which by the way the Yes vote won by 88% and the No side a measly 12%, Ghana became a Republic.
This buffoon should understand why the country was named Republic of Ghana, and by that it means absolute power is vested in the people through their elected representatives and Executive appointees like Kwadwo Bonsu. Only recalcitrant dimwits will write this bullcrap for public consumption without checking his facts. On account of the overwhelming Yes vote in the Constitutional Referendum, Ghana became a Republic on July 1, 1960, and that is why we celebrate Republic Day every year, bozo.
It for this utter stupidity and backward predisposition by many buffoons in the country that I believe there will be a CIVIL WAR in the country to uproot the antediluvian parasitic so called traditional authorities who flex their muscles against the peoples representatives and Executive appointees. No, no, no, if you think this is a joke, then you must be the most primitive and backward Ghanaian around. The progressive Ghanaians are becoming aware by the day, the dangers these antediluvian chiefs pose to the country's economic development as they have hi-jacked the peoples' priced possession, land.
True power belongs to the people and we will fight, come hell or high water. The US North fought US South in a civil over slave trade. The English also fought a civil war on account of King James disregard of Parliament followed by his son, Charles intransigence with the same Parliament. These two nations came out of their civil wars very strong, and may be, just maybe this is what Ghana needs to inject sanity into a largely ignorant and backward population.
