I tend to believe the latter is the case. Showing outrage and calling for justice in this case is not xenophobia but the responsibility of the citizenry. That you would describe it as xenophobic rhetoric tells me that our society has become so used to these type of abuses that when one raises concerns the reaction is overreaction. While I don't have any scientific evidence to back it up, there is ample anecdotal evidence to show that foreigners, especially those of Arab decent in Ghana too many times abuse the people who work for them and don't have a voice. This has continued to happen for decades because of two reasons: 1) a corrupt and dysfunctional judiciary 2) the evil of self bigotry. The good thing is that there is a new consciousness rising in Ghana; one that is demanding better from the people we elect to serve us and yes also demanding that the rights of every Ghanaian be respected especially for those who do not have a voice.
Your article is insulting and misguiding.
