The courts have dealt with assault cases and given judgements and what have been the final verdicts in those cases. This case cannot be treated any different in the eyes of the law even if many are calling for much higher level of sentencing and punishment. Either way the judge and the accused will be crucified unless a very long jail sentence is given and which is beyond the judge so the media insults and comments are going to go crazy.
