The special offering by ICGC
Society always tried to box God. You are limited as a human, what makes you think you know better than God who created you and is unlimited.
It's a total waste of time trying to understand how God does things, and this is what happened yesterday on Social media in connection with ICGC Greater Works' Special Offering image circulating.
If someone is so blessed to afford a $5000 offering, whether to God or to man, my prayer will be that God blesses me as such.
Many started playing with the figures and concluded on things such as; the church is into business, into duping the poor, etc. Well God is not a business man, if He is, we will all have meters reading the amount of air we breath, we might have been complaining of high tariffs now because the economy is bad as Dr. Bawumia and government put it.
Again, can a poor man afford $5,000? If anyone can afford it, it means they are not poor and such a person is led by his spirit to give. If he or she is controlled by God, who is man to speak against it?
Satan is a business man and might be leading this campaign and many people might be joining without knowing because they are not controlled by the Spirit of God. In Satan's arithmetic, the more you give, the poorer you become and rather making the one you give to richer. This is the same mindset trending in most of the post I read yesterday with Greater Works Special Offering image.
But the bible says "For if you give, you will get! Your gift will return to you in full and overflowing measure, pressed down, shaken together to make room for more, and running over. Whatever measure you use to give—large or small—will be used to measure what is given back to you" - Luke 6:38 (TLB). With God, the more you give, the richer you become, but with Satan, the more you give, the poorer you become. Things of God make no sense to the common man with the common spirit. It takes someone led by the Spirit of God to understand the things of God.
"It is more blessed to give than to receive" - Acts 20:35 (MEV). If you have to give, please give freely, voluntary, willingly. Don't be forced.
Those who are giving understand what they are doing, and I marvel at those who didn't understand them but think the best way is to criticize them. Criticizing what you don't understand.
In conclusion "The person without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God but considers them foolishness, and cannot understand them because they are discerned only through the Spirit" - 1 Corinthians 2:14 (NIV).
