A February 27, 2017 publication by http://africabusiness.com condemned Accra as the most polluted city in Africa based on rankings by Numbeo.

The rankings of the Numbeo index was based on 2016 data collected over a period of three years.

In the current ranking, the 2018 midyear ranking of the most polluted cities in Africa, our beloved ACCRA is nowhere to be found in the top twelve most polluted cities in Africa…please visit for the current rankings… https://www.numbeo.com/pollution/region_rankings.jsp…

According to Numbeo, ‘Pollution Index is an estimation of the overall pollution in the city. The biggest weight is given to air pollution, than to water pollution/accessibility, two main pollution factors.

Small weight is given to other pollution types’. Numbeo also relies on relevant data from the World Health Organisation (WHO).

Based on the available evidence I am compelled to ask the question, IS ACCRA TRULY ON COURSE TO BECOMING CLEAN?

Well, as we can all see it appears there are some reforms that are beginning to yield tangible results in the areas of environmental pollution, water management and accessibility and pollution in general.

Quality leadership speaks for itself, God bless managers of Accra.

It is well!!!
