If only people appreciate what Mahama has done for the nation it would be well and good for Ghana. This writer has argued in many circles that like Nkrumah, Mahama would leave admirable legacy, long after he leaves government, irrespective of the negative things others have said about him. Think about how he solved the 'dumsor' problem; how he went through the NPP-sponsored, industrial strikes and the red neck-scarves wearing street demonstrations and abuses, yet he focused on what he had to do and worked hard for the country. Also, imagine Mahama gave his brother, Ibrahim Mahama, a state appointment - wham!the whole Ghana people would shout foul, even though Ibrahim is a qualified and better engineer. By contrast, Nana Akufo-Addo has packed his household personnel, so to speak, and friends in state jobs and Ghanaians are relatively quiet about it. Corruption in the country continues unabated. Unemployment is sky high but we don't hear complains and objections from the usual quarters.

It could be that the government has been keeping the numerous bond funds aside to use on the nation's development and cash give-away nearer the 2020 elections as a ploy to win the elections'
