Jospong's surcharge by the Auditor General: I am vindicated

His jaundiced journalists, blinded by the crumbs and dregs that dribble from his gluttonous mouth, seem to find bliss in feeding off the flesh and blood of the poor Ghanaian, including their own families and friends. How many times have we shouted corruption in the Zoomlion agenda? How many times have we called for the prosecution of Jospong, and retrieval of hundreds of millions of Ghana Cedis allegedly paid to him for work either not done, or half done, or shoddily done?

How many times have we heard of allegations of theft perpetrated by Jospong and his accomplices in various government sectors over the years through ZOOMLION, SUBAH, GYEEDA, and others? How many times have we heard of his ploys to compromise politicians in order to have his way? Have we not heard that he has about 90% of politicians in his pocket, especially MPs? How many times have we cried foul over allegations of impropriety, malfeasance, misfeasance, and nonfeasance by Jospong, his surrogates and paid propagandists? How many times, how many times, how many times?

Then he sends his fangless dogs to scribble incoherent statements that compound the mockery he excels at making of himself. Ah well, let the rabid dogs bark, after all, their fangless plight makes them hungry, only temporarily satiable by the dregs of disgust that they are made to swallow.

Now to the substantive matter of the Auditor-General’s report. So, this report indicts Joseph Siaw Agyepong, Sylvester Mensah, and others in embezzlement cases of GHs411,433,086.33 (four hundred and eleven million, four hundred and thirty three thousand and eighty six Ghana Cedis and thirty three pesewas). The Auditor-General further orders Jospong and his thieving accomplices to refund the money with interest. These moneys at the time of disbursement totaled over $120,000,000.00USD (one hundred and twenty million US Dollars).

By the Auditor-General’s indictment, can he not be fantastically labelled a “THIEF”? Chai, Joseph Siaw Agyepong, woahono amane!

This indictment is a blight on his bankrupt integrity, non-existent business ethics, and acute lack of conscience! Jospong will stop at nothing to steal from the national coffers, it would seem. Even the American International School has not been able to escape his shenanigans, I am told! I see him behaving like the Tsavo man-eater lions of Kenya that had long developed an appetite for human flesh, and will stop at nothing to hunt down unsuspecting people. So is he playing out similarly in Ghana against his own people, running to church as an elder only to cover his nakedness with a religion that does not endorse his supposed fiscal crimes against the nation, specifically, and humanity, generally?

Now let me state unequivocally that I shall petition the Special Prosecutor to immediately investigate, charge, and prosecute this plunderer together with his accomplices. They should be all be jailed! It would be grave injustice to jail a couple for stealing a few ears of maize to feed their children, and not pack these alleged thieves behind bars for the rest of their lives! It would be the height of injustice for a tollbooth operator to be jailed for 5 years for stealing GHs2 (two cedis) to tame his hunger when these people are on the loose having stolen hundreds of millions of the nation’s money as they continue to prowl for more! It would be the height of insouciance in the fight against corruption to jail a bank employee, who did not actually steal moneys, but rather reinvested her clients’ deposits in order to benefit from the interest, when we have professional pillagers going about their daily chores as if stealing the poor man is a matter of course!

Let me reiterate my call on government to confiscate Zoomlion and other companies of Jospong to the State, including Omni Bank, which he allegedly robbed the nation to set up. They should be reorganised and used as conduits for job creation. If this happens, government should be able to employ some 200,000 (two hundred thousand) Ghanaians or more.

Finally, this Auditor-General’s report speaks only about his machinations at the NHIA (National Health Insurance Authority). There are dozens of other places that must be looked at, including his dealings with the Ministry of Communications before 2017, the Ministry of Transport, and the GIIF!

Suffice it to say that the old local adage, “every day for thiefman one day for master” has just stood yet another test! Kudos to the Auditor-General’s outfit. I have some newfound heroes in there!!! GOD bless Ghana!
