Can l change my DNA?

Last night my daughter and l had a very interesting conversation. My little girl has a fascination for science especially brain activities.

She came to me and stated “ mother do you know we lose part of our DNA as we grow, over a period? Do you know we can actually change our DNA? The more life experiences and challenges we encounter the more we lose part of our DNA.”

I knew it was the beginning of an interesting conversation even though I was very tired.

So she started mapping out the process on paper then followed it with a short video she had made with objects round the house to work out how various neurons work in the brain to add or take away part of our DNA.

What my little brain got out of our controversial conversation was, we can change our natural (biological) makeup over time with nurture (environmental influence).

So the fact that you believe you were born into a family who struggled with academic strength or musical abilities does not mean you cannot make it happen for you.

Biology cannot always hold you back. You are predisposed to whatever the illness or disease, but you can likewise rewrite your own history (DNA).

Now let’s visit planet Earth:

The piece of your past that no longer fits in your life came to you at a time when you were a much different person than who you are today.

Are you the same person now than you were ten years ago? No, you are a vastly different person right now.

You see things and handle situations differently compared to how you did before.

Who you are now will naturally draw to you exactly the situation, the person, and the future that you need right now.

Know that, trust in that, and step into that with perseverance and determination.

What you need will come to you at exactly the right time for you.

What you see around you is not the end result. Coming from a dysfunctional generation doesn’t make you dysfunctional unless you choose that pathway.

your choices will define your final DNA. You can reprogram the DNA for your generation.

Even our little ones can teach us so much if we listen.
