The Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) would not cross the borders of Ghana, Evangelist Emmanuel Yeboah, Spokesperson for the Ampiah-Kwofi World Outreach (AKWO) declared on Thursday.

He said diseases were spirits and that the Ampiah-Kwofi World Outreach was dealing with the Ebola spirit and assured that the borders of the country were fortified against Ebola.

Evangelist Yeboah gave the assurance at a press conference ahead of a three-day “healing and miracle crusade” by the Outreach in Ho from Friday August 22 to Sunday August 24 at the Jubilee Park.

He said though education on the disease was important, the spiritual aspect was needed to fortify the ‘gates’ of the country.

“It is good we educate ourselves on the disease and the need for us to practice personal and environmental cleanliness but we must not forget about the spiritual aspect, which we have done, because we are spirits and everything that manifest physically starts from the spiritual world,” Evangelist Yeboah stated.

He commended churches in Ho for coming together to support the crusade and said that act had made the “spiritual atmosphere conducive for healing and miracles.”

Evangelist Yeboah said the crusade was about the “Kingdom business of winning souls” and urged churches to eschew negative tendencies and acts of disunity.

He noted that disunity among churches in the country had caused corruption to ‘eat-up’ the nation and charged the church not to compromise its principles and standards, instead be light to the nation.

Reverend Joseph Dzandu, Local Steering Committee Chairman for the crusade, said it was important for the citizenry to exercise self control, be hygienic and obedient to the word of God to avoid contracting Ebola and cholera.

The Ampiah-Kwofi World Outreach is a non-denominational outreach ministry committed to “plundering hell and populating Heaven.”

The Outreach has carried the power of the Gospel of salvation and healing via mass crusades in the past 19 years to nations like the Republic of Togo and Benin, Sierra Leone, Kenya and others beside the penetrative power crusades in the Regional cities and villages in Ghana.

The 2014 outreach in Ho marks its fourth time in the Volta Regional capital and expected to attract a large number of people.
