The Medifem Multi-Specialist Hospital and Fertility Centre has listed improved patient safety, innovative medical practice and tailored specialist care as part of its strategic objectives for the short to medium term.
The company says it is continuously working towards a service delivery chain that puts the patient more at the centre.
At an end of year media soiree organized to brief journalists on the company’s progress and plans for the future, Chief Executive Officer and Medical Director, Dr Richard Banful told journalists that the Hospital is delivering on its mandate and working to introduce more services that make its a one-stop healthcare service provider for its patrons.
“We are engaged in constantly training our staff, introducing innovation and adding on other service portfolios that will make us a one-stop health centre.
Our clinical data are all pointing in the positive direction and we are striving to provide the best healthcare services to our clients” Dr. Banful remarked.
The company’s total outpatient data showed that patronage was increasing on a year-on-year basis indicating growth.
Apart from its impeccable record in the delivery of maternal and child healthcare, the Hospital has over the last few years introduced and delivered solutions in plastic surgery, urology and recently added Ear Nose & Throat (ENT) and orthopaedic services. This Dr Banful says is a demonstration of progress towards a fully integrated health centre that takes care of various health needs.
"We have recently added on orthopaedic and ENT services with a lot more in the pipeline. There are plans to expand our portfolio but more importantly improve our service delivery. We are moving towards a fully integrated health centre where a patient who walks in can access the full chain of health services as much as he/she wants” says Dr Banful.
