St. Martin’s Hospital gets welfare bus

The Agomanya St. Martin’s de Porres Hospital has procured a 33-seater Toyota Coaster for its staff.

The hospital administration procured the bus with part of its internally generated resources and a loan of GHc200,000 from the National Investment Bank (NIB).

At the inauguration ceremony on the hospital’s premises at Odumase Krobo, the Hospital Administrator, Mr Osei Owusu Bempah, said the hospital needed the bus to aid its functions and programmes.

He said hitherto staff travelled in discomfort for activities outside the hospital because of the rickety nature of the buses they usually travelled on.

He expressed optimism that the cordial relationship between the hospital and NIB would continue in the interest of both parties.

Mr Bempah called on other financial institutions to partner the hospital to promote its growth.

The Head of Retail Credit and Small Medium Enterprise (SME) of NIB, Mr Yaw Akorsa Antwi, said the bank was positioned to give the needed support to those who needed its services.

He urged workers to patronise the bank’s facilities as the conditions were moderate and attractive.

The acting President of the Manya Krobo Traditional Council, Nene Agbou Narh, who chaired the function, commended the hospital administration for its performance in its operational area.

He appealed to NIB to open a branch in the Krobo area to help boost economic activities.
