So you saved some Cedis, paid SwissAir a few $ for your flight here. You were determined to make your life even better than you had before.
So far, so good; you've not been really excited by anything here, but hey, you are here, so you kept afloat. You started working with a great company (you already had the experience back home so you didn't have to babysit or wash some damn dishes.) You saved your dollars; years later you managed to get your legal documentation. In the process, you went back to school, got yourself a first-class college education at a private university - Ivy league, probably. You coughed up from your savings half the $90,000 that your firm paid for your education. Yep, $45,000 of your savings went into your head. Silly right? No, you didn't think so at the time. So, you graduted with accolades -- Honor Student/3.9 GPA. Great, right? Nah! Damn stupid, you say to yourself these days!
You see, you just realized that you're not fulfilled - that with all your honors, you are not even one of the lousy VPs at JP Morgan or is anyone taking your strategic mind seriously. You just turned 30+ and your job sucks - you know you are 5 times smarter than your boss, yet here you are, with your "wonderful" accent (they love to have your correct their grammar, but they don't want to hear you talk) still at the bottom of the ladder. To others you are doing great, to you it's a crawl. You want to scream, but you are well-cultured so you say "shit" under your breathe instead of saying it to your boss and walking out.
Now listen carefully. You can stop that, you know. You can change your financial situation; you can allow your mind to work... to be productive. This is not another sales pitch -- this is hardwork. You can start your own profitable business right here in New York City. I won't liet to you -- your first couple of months (considering the present economy) will be tough (probably not), but you will make it. YOU HAVE TO BE ABLE TO LIVE WITHOUT INCOME FOR A PERIOD OF 3-6 MONTHS -- BE ABLE TO PAY YOUR RENT & PERSONAL EXPENSES FOR AT LEAST 3-6 MONTHS IN ORDER TO COMFORTABLY GET INTO THIS START UP OPERATION. (You may want to take a part time job on the side while you build the business.) You will not be alone. You will have a partner in the same soup -- struggling with determination to get the business off the ground. It will pay off. If you can forget that stupid title they gave you at the office and can try to forget you dumb status for a sacrificial year, you will be calling yourself any title you want for the rest of your life. CEO? President? Your choice. Remember it is hard work. This will be your own sweat...but trust me, it will be airconditioned. :-)
IF THIS SOUNDS LIKE ANYTHING YOU HAVE CONSIDERED OVER A PERIOD, YOU HAVE A PARTNER.
-- MUST BE HONEST AND DETERMINED
-- MUST HAVE A CORPORATE PRESENCE
-- MUST HAVE WORKED IN THE CORPORATE ENVIRONMENT,
PREFERABLY IN THE HR/RECRUITING FIELD (although not necessary).
-- MUST HAVE COMMAND OVER ENGLISH LANGUAGE.
-- MUST HAVE THE DESIRE TO OWN YOUR OWN BUSINESS.
-- MUST WANT TO SACRIFICE TO MAKE IT.
You have to understand that this business will be yours - and yours alone -- although in partnership. It is profitable, but only with hard work. If you have worked for more than two employers in New York City, and are on good terms with your HR unit, it's a plus.
THIS IS NOT A SALES PITCH. THIS IS AN AD FROM SOMEONE WITH A VISION WHO WANTS A COMMITTED PARTNER -- 50-50 RESPONSIBILITY.
IF THIS SOUNDS LIKE SOMETHING YOU'VE BEEN STRUGGLING TO DO, PLEASE EMAIL ME.... Dixzy@aol.com. For reference, please type in "HR BUSINESS" in the subject line, otherwise I will delete it.
SERIOUS MINDED ONLY NEED REPLY. GOOD LUCK.
