Deputy Minister for Trade and Industry, Carlos Kingsley Ahenkorah has condemned the assault on the Member of Parliament [MP] for Ningo-Prampram constituency, Sam George.
Though he vehemently condemns the act, he says it serves the Member of Parliament right per his actions towards the state security apparatus.
According to him, why would Sam George be around the election area trying to intrude into the work of the security personnel.
“I say sorry to my brother in parliament but this should serve him a political lesson that will shape him up in the coming years,” he advised.
The Tema West Constituency MP on UTV’s ‘Adekye Nsroma’ programme described the just ended by-election as the most peaceful in the fourth republican dispensation.
“I don’t see the reason why people have refused to understand that the Electoral Commission [EC] says the election was peaceful and fair all because of the violence at the La Bawaleshie polling station area. One thing they are forgetting is that it was not on the polling grounds where voting was going on therefore EC cannot take responsibility for that,” he clarified.
Kingsley Ahenkorah concluded that NDC never made any preparations to win the elections because they knew they will lose at all cost.
“ . . So why the complaints, unrest and blame games?” he sought to know.
