A leading member of the ruling New Patriotic Party is protesting against the appointment of Awal Mohammed as Public Relations Officer for the Youth Employment Agency.

According to Prince Milonu, Awal Mohammed is not a committed member of the NPP must therefore not be appointed to serve in government.

Milonu was speaking in reaction to the appointment of Awal Mohammed as Public Relations Officer for the Youth Employment Agency.

Awal Mohammed took to social media to thank stalwarts of the NPP including Majority Leader Mensah-Bonsu, former NPP Chairman, Peter McManu and other Ashanti Regional executives of the NPP while announcing his appointment though he fell short of mentioning the office he was appointed to.

But Prince Milonu told sit-in host of Abusua Nkommo, Austin Woode that Awal Mohammed’s appointment must be revoked immediately.

He said, ”We will not accept Awal’s appointment today nor tomorrow because he is not a loyal and committed member of the party.”

”Awal joined the party because of his selfish interest and it’s the reason why he came into the party at a point where we had finished with all the hard work for the 2016 elections and we think he is an opportunist,” Prince Milonu charged.

”I still think Awal is a mole and we must not be in a hurry to bring him into our inside issues…look at how he lambasted the NPP AND Akufo Addo in his days with the NDC and you think we have easily forgotten about those things he said about our party,” he asked.

”There are several hardworking people who sacrificed their jobs, time and resources working for the party over the last eight years we were in opposition and someone joins just a month to elections and he has been rewarded….what kind of party system is this,” Milonu said angrily.
