Ghana’s Under-17 team will arrive in Ghana on Tuesday May 30 from Libreville after failing to clinch the 2017 African Junior Championship in Ghana.
The Starlets were defeated 1-0 by Mali in a hard-fought final at the Stade de L’Amite in Libreville to emerge champions of the 2017 U-17 Africa Cup of Nations in Gabon on Sunday.
Coach Paa Kwesi Fabian side’s were aiming to go one better than the class of 2005 in Gambia but the title proved elusive once again as a brilliant Mali side controlled and dominated the final to ensure a successful defence.
The team arrives at the Kotoko International Airport at exactly 14:45pm.
Ghana after finishing second at the championship will be hoping to make amends when they compete at the 2017 U17 FIFA Youth World Cup in India.
