The Youth Wing of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has called on the rank and file of the ruling New Patriotic Party to bring to order one of their own; Henry Nana Boakye AKA Nana B, over comments he made about former President John Dramani Mahama.

Last week, media reports said that the National Democratic Congress’ (NDC) flagbearer said EC Chairperson, Jean Mensah, and her outfit will be held responsible if the country is plunged into turmoil after the 2020 general elections.

Reacting to that while addressing members of TESCON at a gathering in Ho, Monday, Nana-B said the comments by Mr. Mahama was reckless, irresponsible and unwarranted, thus called on the former President to apologize to the good people of Ghana.

The comments seem to have struck the wrong nerves as the youth wing has responded, with rather stern warnings.

They described Nana B’s actions as attempts to slight the Former President at any given chance.

“The former President was emphatic and concise as he spoke in Twi, a language which offers no ambiguity and misrepresentation. He never mentioned chaos or anarchy, neither did he call for conflicts or violence of any kind.

It is therefore surprising for a whole National Youth Organizer of the NPP to miss this sound counsel and go to town with his own interpretation of what President John Mahama said. This says a lot about his party and how they have allowed the culture of insults to permeate their ranks. If the NPP has any virtue left in them, their elders will call him to order.”

They also cautioned that the NPP desists its politics of insults or they (the NDC youth wing) will face them boot for boot. ‘
