Dzolo-Kpuita (V/R), Dec. 16, GNA - Mrs Dzifa Attivor, an aspiring National Democratic Congress's (NDC) parliamentary candidate for the Ho-West constituency has said she would make "mince meat" of Mr Mawutor Goh, Ho Municipal Chief Executive and NPP parliamentary candidate. Announcing her bid at a press conference at Dzolo-Kpiuta, the constituency headquarters on Friday, Mrs Attivor said the NDC did not subscribe to policies and actions "that help a few to prosper at the expense of many".
Mrs Attivor, 51, native of Abutia-Teti and an ex-official of the Bank of Ghana said her special qualities; experience, track record and commitment to social issues would put the needed vim in party activities in the constituency, ready for thrashing other parties in the 2008 elections. She said she would tackle the falling standards of education, inadequate health facilities and bad roads during her tenure as Member of Parliament (MP).
The Aspiring NDC MP said she would also deal with the problem of access to potable water and promote tourism in the constituency to increase employment avenues.
Flyers distributed at the media encounter claimed Mrs Attivor "contributed significantly in nurturing the NDC in the Ho West constituency, in the region and nation as a whole." In the race with Mrs Attivor for the NDC ticket, are Professor Vincent Nartey, Lecturer, University of Ghana, Mr Emmanuel Bedzrah, Building Consultant, Samuel Ewoade, Agro-Chemist and Emmanuel Akpese, Businessman.
Mrs Attivor, mother of three holds a degree in Business Administration and is currently pursing an MBA in Human Resource Management.
Mr Francis Agbotse, incumbent MP is said to have indicated that he would not be in the race this time after three terms.
