Former Executive Secretary to the immediate-past Inspector General of Police (IGP) David Asante Apeatu, Superintendent (Retired) Peter Lanchene Tuubo has said he is currently busy with his campaign to enter parliament on the ticket of his beloved National Democratic Congress to perturbed about news of his invitation to the Bureau of National Investigations (BNI).

He, however, added that should he be invited, he is ready to appear.

Speaking on Accra Fm monitored by MyNewsGh.com, he said “I have not been invited by the BNI over any matter. We are a country of law and I am a law-abiding citizen and, so, if the BNI invites me, I will honour the invitation.”

Asked about his whereabouts as at the time of the interview he responded, “I am currently focused on my campaign to be elected as an MP to make life comfortable for the people and, so, it is funny that I will be associated with such a plot to destabilize the country.”

He stressed “Funny and very interesting. Invitations are a normal part of our democracy and, so, if they invite me, I will go.”

Dr Frederick Yao Mac-Palm owner of Cidatel Hospital and his two accomplices – Mr Ezor Kafui (a local weapon manufacturer) and Mr Bright Allan Debrah Ofosu (aka BB or ADC) are currently in the custody of the BNI over the alleged plot.
