The 2016 Campaign Coordinator for the National Democratic Congress(NDC), Kofi Adams said Friday that he regrets to see the President leave office, a reality which became more imminent when he[Mahama] delivered his final State of the Nation Address Thursday, January 5th 2017.

“It was a sad day for me at that point realizing that a great man John is coming to an end” he noted, adding that he was equally happy that the outgoing leader has done his best for the country in respect of the myriads of infrastructure projects delivered under the Mahama-led NDC regime.

Speaking on Anopa Kasapa on Kasapa 102.5 FM, Adams said he intentionally wore a white apparel during the President’s last State of the Nation Address Thursday to give the impression to Ghanaians how he feels proud about the outgoing leader vis a vis the records achieved in his Presidency for the four year tenure.

“When I look round and I see the state of the country now and when we took over from the NPP government years back, I can say without hesitation that he’d set a standard for this country and left a legacy as well,” he added.

President John Mahama Thursday presented his final State of the Nation Address (SONA) as he exits from power after a four-year tenure.

The address was in compliance of the dictates of Article 67 of the 1992 Constitution.

His final public address touched on the country’s achievements and challenges under his regime.
