The Presidential nominee of the Convention People’s Party (CPP) Ivor Kobina Greenstreet has criticised the President John Dramani Mahama for flying helicopter when he toured the Upper West regions.

He questioned why the President flew instead of driving on the deplorable roads in the region he failed to fix.

The presidential nominee who was in Sakai in the Sissala East and Pulima in the Sissala West constituencies as part of his campaign tour to the Upper West regions lashed out at the president for reneging on his promise.

‘I am surprised about the state of the roads, why did the president failed to drive to witness the bad roads here, why did he come to Tumu in a helicopter instead of traveling on the bad roads he promised to fix in 2012,’ he fumed.

Balu Mohammed reported that Mr Greestreet called on the electorate to vote out the Mahama-led NDC government.

According to him, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) were also given 8 years in power but failed to work on the roads calling on them to reject the two main parties and usher in a CPP government that will change their fortunes around.

He further promised to improve the educational infrastructure in the area.

The parliamentary candidate for the CPP in Sissala east Madam Fedilia Mohammed called on women to vote for her to represent them in Parliament by supporting them with infrastructure.

In Pulima, the presidential candidate promised to expand their dam.

A local musician Juari Basia has composed a political song for the CPP.
