Former President John Dramani Mahama has described the late Kwadwo Asare-Baffour Acheampong (KABA) as someone who was objectively harsh in discharging his duties as host of Ekosii Sen, a political talk show on Asampa FM.

He added that KABA had his own style of hosting his guest and he puts the chips where it is supposed to be no matter the personalities or political parties involved.

“KABA is a person who had his own style and he puts the chips where they were no matter which political party or personalities were involved” he said.

The former President was at Multimedia Group Limited Wednesday afternoon to sympathise and solidarize with colleagues and some other family members of the late broadcaster.

He signed the book of condolence opened in memory of him.

The former President in an interaction with the media noted that Ghana as a country should use KABA’s death to look at health issues other than politics.

He said we should be talking more on how to improve healthcare so that young people like KABA will not lose their life at their prime.

“There are so many people who at the very prime of life have just been snuff out like a candle. So maybe we must be talking more on how we can make healthcare better in this country so that we will be able to avoid these kind of calamities” he stressed.

KABA died at the age of 37 on Saturday November 18, 2017 at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital in Accra.

According to colleagues and friends he had reported to work the day before but had to leave after he complained of feeling dizzy.

He was later rushed to the hospital when the sickness got worse but was pronounced dead not long after.
