Lawyer Poku Boah to contest NDC Parliamentary election in Nkoranza South

Classic Fm Techiman B/A; A Techiman based Legal expert Kwaku Poku Boah, has declared his intention to contest the primaries of the Nkoranza South Parliamentary seat in the 2008 general elections on the ticket of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

Speaking to the Classic news in Techiman in the Brong Ahafo Region, Mr. Opoku Boah, said he had the qualities, capabilities and competence to win the seat from the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) MP Hon. Kwame Ampofo Twumasi. The Barrister at Law appealed to Polling Station Chairmen of the party in the area to resist the temptation to be influenced with money instead of rooting for the one who could solve problems Mr. Opoku Boah appealed to the Polling Station Chairmen to choose what he called "A marketable and credible candidate" to unseat the NPP. He said a survey conducted in the constituency indicated that he was the only person who could lead the NDC to victory and warned against selecting any other candidate that could lead to "A disaster".

According to him, he has good relations with party functionaries, traditional rulers, Assembly Members and as such opinion leaders in the district should be exploited to enhance the chances of the NPP. Lawyer Boah also, appealed to the Constituency, Regional and National Executives of the NDC to consider him to contest the 2008 elections.

He declared that, he would be the obvious choice of the people in the constituency because of his hard work, dedication, humility and selflessness and appealed to the Polling Station Chairmen to give him the chance.
