The Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party, Mr. Bernard Antwi-Boasiako, has emphatically predicted defeat for all persons who have placed their hope in former President John Mahama for a return in 2020.

Mr. Bernard Antwi-Boasiako, mostly referred to as Chairman Wontumi explains that the “former President Mahama is the political equivalent of Ataa Ayi” and until he removes that tag, Ghanaians can’t trust him to be our leader.

“A lot of stealings went on under the leadership of former President Mahama. Corruption was no longer a crime under John Mahama. Even if his brother took heavy loans from banks, he wouldn’t pay for it and former President Mahama was aware of it and not bothered.

If you think about it you won’t be wrong to say former President Mahama is the political equivalent of Ataa Ayi. He was a terror leader”, Chairman Wontumi underscored.

Over a period of three months, Chairman Wontumi, explains that he has conducted his own polls and his findings have shown that the absence of former President Mahama and the National Democratic Congress from political power for a minimum of 16 years, would propel Ghana’s economy to be more stable.

He touted the social interventions programmes being implemented by President Akufo-Addo and Dr. Bawumia as measures that would bring relief to Ghanaians for a very long time.

He added that the NPP government is well on course in its determination to implement policies and programmes designed to formalise and modernise the Ghanaian economy,

Chairman Wontumi however warned that “If Mahama and the NDC should be given a chance anytime soon, they would do what they do best.

They would come and dip their hands in state coffers and fill their stomachs. The create, loot and share agenda would be more grandiose.”
