Samira Bawumia, wife of Ghana’s Vice President Alhaji Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has indicated that her husband is recuperating.
The 2nd lady added that her husband will return to work soon.
Dr Bawumia was flown to the United Kingdom for medical attention last week Friday upon the advise of his doctors.
She expressed appreciation to Ghanaians for their prayers and support.
‘My Husband Bawumia and I are grateful to all Ghanaians and well-wishers from across the world for the prayers, support and best wishes. He’s doing very well and we thank Allah for His grace. He looks forward to returning to work soon,’ Mrs Bawumia tweeted on Thursday.
A section of Ghanaians have been debating about the country’s health care system asking why the Vice President was flown out of the country when there are qualified doctors in the country who could have attended to him.
