491 Parliamentary Candidates Set To Go !!!

With just a few days left to go for nominations to be filed, a total of 491

candidates have so far gotten the nod from their various political parties to

contest this year's Parliamentary elections.

This compares with a total of 267 candidates at the end of last August when our

Research Desk monitoring newspaper results of the party primaries' findings

were published.

In all, there are 230 constituencies in the country.

As at the end of September, the NDC had elected 202 candidates, followed by the

NPP with 185 candidates, CPP - 85, PNC - 17, GCPP - 1, DPP - 1, and NRP - 1
