NDC to plant 300, 000 trees nationwide as part of 27th anniversary

As part of activities commemorating the 27th anniversary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), the party will embark on a tree planting exercise.

General Secretary of umbrella family, Johnson Asiedu Nketiah said they intend to plant 300, 000 trees across the country.

This he said forms part of their contribution to fight environmental degradation and climate change.

He made the disclosure on Rainbow Radio 87.5Fm in an interview with Nana Adjoa Owusu.

The party he added has initiated an action dubbed ‘adopt a branch’ strategy as part of efforts to quickly recapture power in 2020.

He said former appointees and financiers of the party, would be encouraged to adopt branches in their respective constituencies as part of strategies for victory 2020.

He said, the adopt a branch strategy will see all our branches being adopted and supported by individuals and groups within the party..’’

The party is expected to hold the 27th anniversary lecture at 2:00pm today [Thursday].

Muslim prayers have been scheduled to take place tomorrow [Friday].
