NPP has not been hit by coronavirus - Sammi Awuku refutes claims

Sammi Awuku, the National Organizer of the NPP, says the fact that some bigwigs within the party has contracted the coronavirus does not mean NPP has been badly hit by the virus.

Sammi Awuku, contributing to a panel discussion on Joy News, explained that the novel coronavirus is no respecter of persons neither does it fear political power.

He refuted such claims saying “what I know is that the disease is not a respecter of persons whether NPP or NDC, it does not know any political colours so I reject any imposition that this particular party is hit seriously or not with the virus.

“I can confidently tell you that my brothers from the other side have also suffered some few victims here or there. This disease shouldn’t be colored at all but we need to fight this disease with the oneness that we can, master the courage to confront it when we come face to face with it and constantly adhere to the special protocols as the health authorities have made it for us to follow.”
