NPP influenced NDC’s recent elections – Wontumi
Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Bernard Antwi Boasiako, says he led his party to influence the just-ended regional elections of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC).
Bernard Antwi-Boasiako, popularly known as Chairman Wontumi, said he promised last month to determine who became the new executives of the NDC in the regions and that plan has been duly fulfilled.
Speaking on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen Monday, Chairman Wontumi said his dream has indeed come true.
He claimed that he has a big stake in the NDC now, also adding that the party’s members will kowtow to his whims and caprices from now on.
According to him, his work became very easy on realizing those who showed up to contest the various positions.
According to him, with Joseph Yammin contesting for the position of Regional Chairman, it showed how weak the NDC is in the Ashanti Region.
Chairman Wontumi who described himself as the Governor Kumasi, though he didn’t vote in the NDC primaries, he has people who will do the work for him.
