NPP polls: Kalamonia wins Savannah Regional Chair race

Business magnate, Alhaji Iddrisu Sulemana alias Professor Kalamonia is the first ever Chairman of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the newly created Savannah Region.

Supervised by the Electoral Commission, Alhaji Iddrisu Sulemana polled 88 out of the total votes cast and his main contender Nana Kwame secured 37 votes.

His overwhelming victory did not come as a surprise because the delegates ahead of the polls pledged to vote for him.

The newly elected Savannah Regional NPP Chairman in an interview thanked the delegates for the confidence reposed in him.

He reaffirmed his commitment to work with the other elected executives to secure a landslide victory for the NPP at the 2020 polls.

Alhaji Iddrisu Sulemana alias Professor Kalamonia urged all party loyalists in the region to embark on door to door campaigns and win all seven Parliamentary seats there.

Alhaji Iddrisu Sulemana alias Professor Kalamonia is a true blue member of the Danquah- Busia-Dombo political tradition.

He is a native of Daboya, capital of North Gonja in the Savannah Region.

He started his political career during his secondary school days.

Alhaji Iddrisu Sulemana is a known Orator and a time tested politician liked by many people in the NPP and the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

He operates the largest photo studio in Northern Ghana and he is also into commercial transport business.
