The chief of Kpassa in the Nkwanta South district of the Volta region, Ubor Konja Tansan VI, has urged Ghanaians to vote massively for the standard bearer of the Progressive People’s Party (PPP) Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom in the December polls.

The chief, who together with his subjects, met Nduom on Wednesday at his palace in Kpassa expressed his happiness to see him again.

He said that there were so many candidates vying for the nation’s high office but none of them qualifies for the office other than Dr. Nduom.

The chief added that all over the world, people vote for development and with what Dr. Nduom has done and he has seen, he would want all Ghanaians to vote for him.

“Others will wait to be president to do what he [Dr. Nduom] has done. I pray to the gods that he wins,” he said.

The traditional leader told his people that there is no commercial bank in the area but GN Bank has given them a savings haven.

“…After the 2016 elections, I hope that he will be declared winner and president of Ghana so we benefit from massive developmental agenda.”

The Ubor said that the Parliamentary Candidate for the area was one of their own and therefore urged him to visit the various leaders in the constituency for counsel and guidance.

Dr. Nduom in a brief remark noted that this was the first time he was coming to the area.

He explained he made the stop enroute to the Northern, Upper East and Upper West regions to confer with the chiefs and people of Kpassa.

He said that on his way to the area, he saw lots of yams which if not used after some time will go bad, “yam chips can be made out of them. Systems ought to be put in place for surplus yam.”

Earlier on Monday, Dr. Nduom interacted with residents of Tafi Mador in the Afadzato South constituency.

There, he met the chiefs of the area who pledged their unflinching support for him.

They lamented over the lack of accommodation for teachers in the area and urged Dr. Nduom to solve that problem when elected into office.

Dr. Nduom told the people that he came to region to show that the PPP was ready to serve them.

“People of Volta region are hardworking people but unfortunately there are no jobs. My company [Groupe Nduom] employs thousands of persons from the region some of who are key managers… therefore bringing jobs here is not a problem at all,” he said.
