Two motorbike riders have died after crashing into a stationary cargo truck in the middle of the dusty Akyem Twapease to Bomoso road in the Kwaebibirem District of the Eastern Region.
The two separate fatal accidents occurred Tuesday, February 4, 2020. The accidents were caused as a result of poor visibility created by the dusty nature of the road.
The first accident happened around 11 am when the deceased motorbike rider crashed into the Cargo Truck loaded with bamboo while the other accident occurred a few hours later when another rider with a pillion passenger also crashed into the same vehicle.
Both riders died instantly but the pillion passengers survived with serious injury.
