Ghanaian music artiste, Stonebwoy, has cautioned the media against comparing musicians in the country.
He stated that musicians differ with respect to their styles and as such it is wrong to presume they all need to act in a particular way.
Stonebwoy sounded the word of caution during an interview with Andy Dosty on Daybreak Hitz on Hitz FM.
In his opinion, comparing artistes, despite their unique styles, tends to dampen their zeal.
“...we don't need to destroy somebody to move but I've realized that on this side of our industry, it has become a norm to compare every little thing. I know the effect and it dampens down the heat of many artistes,” he stated.
He also noted that it would rather be useful for the media, along with other entertainment critics to encourage artistes to work harder. This, he added, would help boost their careers.
The BHIM Nation CEO further stated that Ghanaian musicians along with stakeholders in the industry need to learn from the Nigerians, so that there could be growth and development. That, he stated, is preferable, compared to fighting with them.
