Take advantage of NaBCO - Youth urged
Ghanaian youth have been urged to take advantage of the newly launched Nation Builders Corps (NABCO) by the government.
A lecturer at the University of Education, Prince Armah, who made the call urged the youth not to relent on their efforts of pursuing realistic goals that would improve their lot.
“I think the launch of NABCO is an Innovative intervention by government to rescue the youth and with this, I call on all youth in the country to grab this great opportunity because I see it as stepping stone for them”, he urged.
President Nana Akufo-Addo has assured that the newly launched Nation Builders Corps will not discriminate against anyone.
He said the scheme, which is expected to engage 100,000 graduates, is open to all graduate citizens who “have duly discharged their national service obligations.”
Speaking at the launch of the scheme in Kumasi on May Day, he said applications will be done strictly online to “optimize efficiency.”
According to him, every constituency will have its fair share in the NABCO scheme when it comes to placements.
But speaking on Adom FM’s Morning Show “Dwaso Nsem” Wednesday, Mr. Armah charged graduates to register with the scheme since he sees it as a well-thought-out plan to tackle the unemployment situation in Ghana.
He said there is the need for the youth to identify their talents with the scheme and look for opportunities that abound in their areas of expertise.
