Former Attorney General and NDC Chairman hopeful, Betty Mould Iddrisu has attacked some members of her party who describe her as tribalistic.
Mrs Iddrisu’s attack appears to be directed at the party’s failed Ashanti regional Chairman hopeful, Joseph Yamin who accused her of tribalism.
Mr Yamin was quoted as saying “Betty Mould Iddrisu is against people from the Northern extraction. She only married Alhaji Iddrisu when she was struggling to get a husband.”
But the controversial NDC chairman hopeful, in an interview on Adom TV at the party’s delegate’s congress Saturday described the accusations as not only vile but also cancerous and ethnocentric.
Responding to the comments on Adom TV, she said: “ I’m not tribalistic and sorry to say that those who are saying I am a liar and tribalist are foolish”.
She said the allegations of her hatred for any ethnic group can, therefore, only be a calculated scheme to destroy her enviable reputation, especially among the NDC delegates.
