An Uber driver who wants to remain anonymous has asked Ghanaians to remain vigilant, as some miscreants, mainly Nigerians, are taking undue advantage of the service to rob passengers.
Speaking to ClassFMonline.com on Wednesday, 27 March 2019, the driver said some passengers are complaining that some Nigerians have ventured into the business and using it as a cover-up for their robbery activities.
“You all have to be careful when you want to engage the services of Uber because some Nigerian criminals are taking advantage of the service to attack people and rob them,” he said.
“As a driver, when I see a request and it is coming from a prospective client bearing a Nigerian name, I get alarmed and, so, you all have to be careful.
“They have attacked and rob students at Legon and they are doing it in other places, too. They are destroying our business for us”, the Uber driver lamented.
