Voters at Evalue Gwira appeal for benches in subsequent elections

Axim (W/R), Dec, 7 GNA- Some voters at the Evalue Gwira Constituency in the Nzima East District, have appealed to the Electoral Commission (EC) and other stakeholders in future General Election to provide the electorate with benches.

The voters who had joined a long queue to cast their votes made the appeal through the media.

One Mr Kaku Ackah said the provision of benches would save the electorate especially the aged, the ordeal of standing for long hours in the scorching sun.

Meanwhile Mr Reginald Amihere, Western Regional Electoral Officer has commended the media for the effective public education about Election 2004, which, he said had contributed to the success of the Election.
